I used to enjoy this place, not only their appeal for being a former jail house during the civil war, but also it had one of the best pizza and calzone in the region.  They have since lost their appeal, the place is still a former jail house, but their food quality has gone down in a big fashion. Their calzone is now a lump of bread with little to not taste. Way too much bread or pizza dough and not enough tasty ingredients.

Pizza is artisan quality and artisan price, served hot and delicious in a reasonable amount of time.  The former Meade County Jail makes for a unique and interesting experience.  Staff is always attentive and friendly.  You gotta try it.

The pizza SUCKS! Perhaps in this area there isn't much choice, but this was TERRIBLE! I When the pizza came, it looked like a "cheese soup" on a soft, pretzel-like crust. It had no flavor and definitely no crunch! We asked for it to be well done and  had to send it back THREE TIMES to get it even cooked. The jail was interesting and somewhat unusual if not historic.
If you're in the area I would most assuredly google something else even it  meant driving some distance.

Definitely a cool place, interesting atmosphere and they used to let you go upstairs and eat inside old jail cells, not sure if they still do that.  Nice view overlooking the river.  Prisoners pardon challenge is interesting.
Pros: good food, fairly priced, awesome atmosphere
Cons: service can be slow at times

Our family LOVES this place.  The cheese pizza alone is amazing, I overeat every time.  And we are not normally cheese pizza people, we ordered it for the kids and ended up eating their side of the pizza!  The kids love the jail part of it and love to lock themselves in the cells.  It's a great place full of interesting history, the walls are covered in newspaper pictures.  We live in Corydon and had never heard of the place until someone happened to mention it.  Please advertise more!

The only reason I wont give it 5 stars is because the service can be a little slow and they don't do a thin crust pizza.

I have tried the cheese pizza and their version of a deluxe pizza. The crust is normally slightly crispy on the bottom so you can pick it up and eat it and they toppings are generous.

I really like their lasagna also. My husband didn't care for the spaghetti because it had a chunky sauce.

The best part is the ability to look out over the river and the old section of the building that is an actual jail house. The decor is all regional and historic so you can spend hours reading over it.
