I love this bar! The upstairs patios have an amazing view of the marina during the day, and during the summer they have a little tiki bar outside. The staff is super fun, and everyone in here is warm and fun.
The live music venues they have are nice. Lots of local artists. They have Kariokee nights, and DJ's sometimes also
Their drink specials, and food specials can't be beat. It's a great place to hang out during the day, or party at night.
Skip and Carol are always around which is cool. You don't get to meet owners of a business  very often, and they're really friendly and fun.
Be sure to try the smothered chimichangas! It's HUGE, but they're so good, and they make their green chili fresh!
In their advertisement they boast "family friendly dining" on the "bi-level deck overlooking Ludington's waterfront" James St. Station is NOT family friendly, the "waterfront view" is a small portion of the harbor, and there is only food service on one of the levels of the deck. Service was SLOW, and they were NOT busy at all. It's more of a bar than a restaurant. I asked 2 different workers for a high chair, and neither brought me one, I had to find one myself. The food was just ok, and we had to go find the waitress to get our bill. There are some great restaurants in Ludington, and this is not one of them.
Review Source:Just average, but I suppose it's good for Ludington. It seems to be a popular local hangout, but "outsiders" don't seem to be very welcome....or maybe everyone is subjected to cat call.
We came in as a musician was just leaving the stage. There weren't any open tables at first, but they opened up quickly.
The food was average and a bit bias towards imitation Mexican. Portion sizes are huge.
They definitely get a gold star for staying open in the winter until a reasonable hour unlike the rest of the town.
