  Dropped into JC's (a.k.a. Bag's) en route to Omaha.  Do yourself a favor and do the same.  Amazing hamburger, hot crispy fries and enough local color to make up for the lack of green in the landscape in the surrounding countryside.  You may be the only one not from Potter in the place, but it is well worth it.
  
  Seriously, the burger is as good as it gets.  Obviously fresh beef, stellar bun and cooked perfectly.  Nothing at all fancy, but rock solid.  No one loves a good hamburger more than I do, but this was easily the best I've had in a long time.
  
  At one point during our lunch the soda fountain started acting up and one of the patrons jumped back behind the bar to fix it.
  
  If you're just passing through on 80, it is just a quick exit, with a nice playground across the street (if you have kids in tow).  And above all, Potter is the quintessential Western, rural town.  Perfect break for the road weary.
