Only been here once, heck only been to Jefferson once, but I'm going to give it all 5 stars. Â I had the meatloaf sandwich with onions on homemade bread w/ a side of fresh cut fries (for real fresh cut) and a mountain dew. Â Delicious. Â My guest had the Italian Sausage with bacon sandwich. Â Loved it.
If you watch Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives, this is what I expect out of a diner. Â Will be going back. Â Downside: they don't take plastic so it made the expense account lunch a lil more difficult.
We stop at this diner every year on our way to Geneva on the Lake and we have never been disappointed. Â Their burgers and fries are the best, but the hot roast beef sandwiches and fries with gravy are excellent. Â Sa room for pie, as their homemade are the very best! Â The waitstaff are friendly and eager to serve, and the prices are great for this out of control economy. Â You get everything you pay for...and more. Â We highly recommend this diner when passing thru town
Been here again, and still love the food..
Where else but in Jefferson, Ohio, can you get a yummy meatloaf sandwich on homemade bread for $4.50? Or a freshly made hamburger and chips for $3.50? Yes, this is the place that time forgot. It's still 1950, and the Jefferson Diner, a quonset hut relic from that era, hasn't changed a bit since then. On the wood paneled dining room walls are photos of 4-H champions, local sports stars, teenagers and their muscle cars, spanning the last half century.
During my most recent visit, I opted for the lunch special, a grilled cheese sandwich with homemade sourdough bread, and homemade Italian wedding soup. If was the best lunch I've had in a long time! I love this place!
