Jerry's Ancient Cities Cafe

You wouldn't think in this small town that you would find a great place to eat but Jerry's Ancient Cities Cafe was surprising. We stopped in the late afternoon for some coffee but when we saw the menu we decided to have Luper (Lunch/Supper) you know like Brunch but in the afternoon.I had the green chili cheese fries and they were tasty and had a little kick which I love.We had good coffee and the waitress kept it comin'. It was a nice stop along the road.

Some of the best Chile Rellenos I have ever had.  And the green chile was hot! I will come back to try something else.

One of the best salsas we had in new mexico, fiery but with discernible taste from all ingredients.

Simple, home-cooked taste to the two-three dishes we tried (tacos and burritos). A basic but hearty selection of classical NM fares on the menu.

On Sundays, you can join the local "crowds" for the mexican buffet. We did not take it but it looked home cooking at below 10$/pax sure value for money.
