Thought I'd give this place a try after hanging out at BW3 across the street. It's basically the same thing, only different - with not as many people. Big cavernous space, lots of TVs - cold beer - decent and fairly-priced food. Â Stopped in a couple of times around dinner - some "after work" groups and familes at tables - but hardly anyone sitting at the bar. When places this big are not full, they seem that much emptier.
I forget what I ordered (it's been a few months) but I do remember it being very good. Service at bar was very attentive, otherwise nothing special.
There's just too many bars of this type in this small town - I'm not sure it can sustain them all.
Jersey's Sports Bar is just like about every other restaurant in Defiance. It's average at best. But the name says it all. It's a sports bar. A sports bar with some food. It is a great place to have a few beers and catch a game, but for the dining experience, it's very ordinary. The menu is very limited. Standard bar food with appetizers, burgers, wings and other sandwiches. Nothing unique. Nothing to write home about. Service was great, though we couldn't pay the check when we wanted to leave because there was something wrong with their credit card machine. Server came back with the check and card and said she would try later. Fifteen minutes past before we could sign our copy and leave. Will I return? Sure. But the only time I might eat there again is if I'm starving. Or I just might eat elsewhere before or afterwards.
