Jody's Outlaw Bar & Grill

Great food but it is old and kind of a dive. Probably due to bar attached.

Blech.  Tried this place, because I was stuck in town waiting on an appt and the atmosphere was just... awkward for anyone under 40.  It was all old dudes and it had a musty smell I'm assuming is left over from the night before.  It says it's a family restaurant but it doesn't look like the kinda place you'd take a family.  Old, dark, dingy is more like it.  The lady who runs it is actually really nice, though, so that's one good thing... but the food was burnt or flavorless.... and I know it wasn't just mine because I could smell that burnt smell when they were cooking up someone else' breakfast as well.  

Oh yeah, she DID have good coffee.  So if all you were looking for was a place to sit and drink coffee while watching the news with barely any sound, it'd be ok but if you were looking for food or a good atmosphere...no not really.

Who would have thought! The last time I was in here was about 8 years ago and have times changes for Jody's!! The new owners (about 18 months ago) have REALLY turned this place around!!
It's now a FAMILY restaurant Yes, there is a "lounge" area but the restaurant side is EXACTLY that! A restaurant!!
THE BEST BREAKFAST IN ALL OF THE YELM AND SURROUNDING AREA!!
My favorite is the Jody's Favorite!!
You WON'T be disappointed!!
