  The craft brews were really good and the smoked brisket was delicious.  Defiantly has the dive bar feel.  Sitting outside is a good way to get away from it though.

  Love going here. You can set outside when it is nice and enjoy one of the best beer selections in town.

  Love the atmosphere. Love the huge selection of beer. The bartenders are always friendly and know their shit about good beer. The noise level is quieter than most bars so you won't have to yell at each other to be heard. My favorite bar in San Angelo.

  I have to admit, downtown is doing well and I was surprised and even somewhat impressed with Joe's.  
  There were a variety of beers there, even Maredsous on tap.  Kudos, Joe's!
  The barkeeps were really friendly and knowledgeable about the beers they had.  
  Joe even had some brews of his own.  I look forward to coming back and trying a few with friends in the future.
  
  It's sad that Ben E Keith won't work out some sort of deal with Austin Breweries so that they are able to carry 512 (Pecan Porter... yummmmm) and other amazing local breweries.  
  
  All in all, I found a cool spot to hang out in Angelo that's totally unpretentious, not too loud and full of really nice folks to sit and sip a beer with.
