Joe's Diner

When we were researching places to eat for a trip up to Michigan, we ran across Joe's Diner menu online. It sounded like an interesting place, so we decided to make it a lunch stop on our trip. I am SO glad we did! Joe's is a little place, with a down-home feel to it. The menu is large, with a lot of really good-sounding things on it. It was hard to choose! I decided on the Fish Sandwich, with fries on the side, and it was delicious - - some of the best fish I have had! My husband and his mother both got burgers, which were excellent. My father-in-law got the Chicken Club Sandwich, and loved it. And, you get a LOT of food for your money. Service was fast, and our waitress was very nice.

If were are ever back in the Wabash, Indiana area, we will definitely stop there again, and will definitely recommend it to our friends who may be traveling in this area.

PS: When I note the Ambiance as "Divey" that is a compliment! It is a very comfortable, casual atmosphere!

It's been nearly 3 years since I ate here while on a roadtrip with my then girlfriend, but I remember the meal fairly well.  I had the deep-fried burger, which was delicious.

Only problem was that the burger still had some burning hot oil still inside it, which proceeded to burn my mouth and hand after biting into it.  I may have been in pain while eating, but after giving it a chance to cool off, it was excellent.  I hope to come here again during my next roadtrip and have another go at this burger.
