The location and look of this place is really nice on the water with a tropical tiki hut pagoda feel. Â They make really weak and watered down drinks here and then $5.25 for a Red Stripe beer is just highway robbery. Â This place is really hit or miss and the crowd varies from the geriatric crowd to way young. Â It seems to often have lots of obese people of all ages present. Â There always seems to be a mix of locals and tourists and sometimes they play nice together and sometimes not. Â They usually have some mediocre to awful band playing here and it can get mildly interesting to see what tune they will crank out next. Â They also have a weird separate pagoda that is sometimes a dance club and sometimes a sports bar. Â The men's bathroom always smells like ass so just expect that. Â There are some fun and interesting nights here but on average this is a pretty boring spot but its one of the hottest spots in Navarre so keep your expectations low and bring your own friends and you can have a lot more fun. Â I strongly suggest getting hammered on the beach before venturing here though as the drinks are way overpriced and weak unless you can stumble into one of their specials.
Review Source:Visited this place our last night at the beach. Atmosphere was beachy fun, but that's where the compliments end! The food was a terrible waste of calories. We ordered a pizza, conch fritters, and a grilled shrimp plate. I have had better pizza at a convenience store, the shrimp were rubbery overcooked, and the conch fritters were minimal conch and all fritter ($10 hush puppies in other words). The service was so bad we almost left without getting our ticket! I have heard good things about the breakfast there, but needless to say I wasn't tempted to return. The drinks are EXPENSIVE! $8.50 for a 6 oz. vodka and cranberry juice served in a throwaway plastic cup.
Review Source:We've been going here for years after moving back to the area in 2004. The place has a great, casual, beach vibe which is great for unwinding and watching the sunsets from their huge deck. Three bar areas allow for great people watching and the decks overlook five volleyball courts which sometimes have some great games going on. Bartenders are great and friendly and pay attention to their customers. Owners and senior staff always seem to be around making sure things are in tip top shape. Â The new dance club that they added last year brings a slightly different clientele from a couple of years ago, young club kids looking to get down on the dance floor. Live music varies widely with some great bands booked during the warmer months.
The food is good which is delivered to your table/bartop from the Sailor's Grill next door. Pizza is awesome! Â Get the Chicken PIzza with feta and sun-dried tomatoes. Yum!! Â Liquor prices aren't the cheapest in town but this place offers the whole package! Â Right on the intracoastal waterway, you can rent boats, jetskis, bikes and the kids can play in the playground. Â We own a local business and always recommend this place to our customers when asking for 'what's to do?' in Navarre.
this place attracts locals, but not those scary, creepy locals. mostly nice, healthy locals. they have, i think six, beach volleyball courts; and a league that you can sign up for. live music, great atmosphere, and a sports bar that they turn into a really shitty nightclub when there isn't a good football game on. if they would stop trying to do the whole nightclub thing, it would be 5 stars imo. let me reitterate that it's a very very nice atmosphere. it's right on a corner of the sound and the gulf. water everywhere, it's just beautiful.
Review Source:location location location - are this businesses only saving grace!
i go with friends sometimes for different occasions but there is no food service - you have to ask the bar for a menu, then the restaurant (use the term loosely) Â about and hour later it may show up, usually tastes like something from freezer to microwave, but by waiting so long you are too hungrey not to eat it.
ok now for the bar service - NOT, again no wait staff, you have to go to bar for everything ....wait...wait,,,,then they want a tip.... ha ha too funny. Â ALSO bring cash because they steal and and tips if you use credit card. Â
ok for a cold beer on a warm day, enjoy the beautifu view, sometimes a good band. Â so this is definatly a place to go just to hang out - but please no expectations of service
OK, I went to Juana's tonight and I must have come across the dark haired bartender that works at the sand bar that the other guy mentioned in his review. Â I placed my order for a beer and then she proceeded to chat with her friends at the bar. Â When I realized she was not getting it, my wife got her attention and reminded her about my beer, she ROLLED HER F'ING EYES!!! Â At this point I decide it was time to cancel my order and leave this place. Â My money and business will be appreciated at some other establishment that values their customers. Â I guess if this place can survive off of ripping off the tourist, go for it. Â Peg leg Petes and the Sandshaker over on Pensacola know what a customer is and how to treat them.
Review Source:Juana's rates three stars on the basis of its ambiance, location, and live music (when that's happening)...and the fact that there isn't much competition on Navarre Beach.
If I was rating the place on the nachos, which is the only thing that I ever ordered there (and only one time), it would rate one solitary, lonely star. Â They were expensive for what I got in the paper basket. Â Beyond the price, they were obviously Tostitos or some similar commercial product, canned chili, and thoroughly pedestrian shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes. Â As far as I remember, the "cheese" was a liquid. Â At a ballgame, I expect that. Â When I'm unassing $9 or whatever the price was, I want some real cheese. Â Just based on that experience, I wouldn't be tempted to ever consider the place as a food destination. Â The nachos at Sidelines on Pcola Beach could be an example for Juana's management team.
I've only ever been to the sand-floored, second-story, round bar. Â There is a dark haired, tall girl that has been there every time during the day that has absolutely no personality and really needs to find a vocation that suits her sullen, brooding personality. Â I'm sure that she's a great person, but she rarely smiles, and never initiates a conversation. Â She's the polar opposite of what a bartender should be.
I'll go back, just because there aren't other places to go on Navarre Beach. Â I'll never again order food. Â I'll never again order a Bushwacker, because they arrive in thin, Dixie-cup type vessels that allow them to melt quickly. Â Look at the picture on this listing...that drink is 75% of the way to fail.
I used to live just across the sound from Juana's and was a frequent visitor. I went back over the 4th of July weekend and was sadly disappointed. Â
First off, this place serves the very BEST fried pickles on the PLANET! Knowing that, I drug an entire family down there from Destin to try them. The pickles were still as awesome as I remember, but the service was, well...despicable. I don't know how they're still in business treating people that way. We waited almost 20 minutes just to be acknowledged, another 20-30 for our pickles, another 40 for the food we ordered - which, if you've seen there menu, shouldn't take that long.
Long story short - if you're looking for a fun place to play lots'o free beach volleyball, want the best fried pickles ever, or just want to pop in for drinks you'll probably have fun. But for God's, and everyone else's, sake DON'T go to Juana's to eat...you'll regret it.
Juana's Juana's, oh Juana's. Â I've become a regular after I frequented you three times in one week! Â You've got me by your Bushwacker. Â
The ambiance is cool and casual. Â I enjoy sipping my Bushwacker and watching the sun set over the water, it is a great escape from the daily and hectic hustle and bustle.
Bartenders are friendly and tend well to you.
People are pretty awesome, friendly strangers all having a good time.
For those who love volleyball, there is a court in the sand before you step into Juana's.
Traveling by boat? Â You can pull up and dock.
Wanna play pool, Juana's got that too.
Draft beers are only $2.25 on certain nights a week, all that is required is a Juana's hat.  You get the type of atmosphere I'm  talking about.  Juana's has a mug night and even a koozie night.
Juana's draft beers aren't the cheap and crappy kind, they are Guinness, Samuel Adams, Ying Ling, those kind. Â
The food is awesome. Â Their burger rocks and their salmon sandwich is the best salmon I've ever had in my life. Â You should definitely give their burger or their salmon sandwich a go. Â Steamed veggies, it doesn't get any better then this.
Live bands. Â Pool tables. Â Always a good time hanging at Juana's.
