I've stopped in and had a few beers on several different occasions, and have always heard how good the food is. Â Well, last night, after a long day on the river, a couple of us guides went over to check out the food.
We started our meal with some ice cold PBRs and a plate of naked chicken wings with sauces on the side. Â There is a buffalo sauce, an inferno sauce (my favorite), and what seemed to be a homemade buttermilk ranch dressing (very good). Â
my associate had the small chicken special that came with cole slaw and steak fries - my mouth was watering when I saw his chicken, it looked so good!
I ordered the Perch Dinner. it was AMAZING! Â this was some of the best perch I've eaten at any restaurant! Â There were six fillets, lightly breaded, and fried to a light golden brown. Â The meal also came with cole slaw, garlic bread, and a potato (I'm a french fry guy). Â
We were both very impressed by the quality of the food and the service of the staff. Â
Our bill was around $40 for the appetizer, two meals, and four beers. Â Not a bad price for the quality of the food and for the size of the portions.
I will definitely be back to Jungle Jims in the near future!
