  Kanpai Japanese just opened in our little get away town of Sparta, NC.  2 hours north west of Charlotte, Sparta is a diamond in the rough.  Kanpai just added a little sparkle to our diamond.
  
  The food is great, healthy and the folks that work there are very nice.  If you get a chance, head up to Sparta and stop by Kanpai!!  It's worth the trip.

  This restaurant recently opened in Sparta, NC. I decided to go to lunch with my daughter and try it out. They had remodeled this restaurant and it really looks nice in there now. We were greeted at the door and seated right away. Our waiter was very pleasant and friendly. We ordered spring rolls as a starter, you get 4 spring rolls with duck sauce for $1.95. We both ordered the Chicken Teriyaki (with broccoli) lunch special, all lunches are served with clear soup or salad, fried rice, sweet carrots and shrimp sauce ($6.25). The food came out in a timely manner and everything looked fresh and tasted great! We will definitely go back again. I'm so glad they finally opened a new restaurant in Sparta, we finally have somewhere to go out to a nice dinner.
