Kelsey's Tavern

I had gone into Oran to visit the Belly-Up Bar downtown, but found it closed.   As I was heading out of town I spotted Kelsey's and thought it looked like the perfect blend of scary and friendly that a good dive bar should be.  

I got a friendly welcome by one of the regulars outside as I walked towards the door.   Inside it was pretty quiet -- it was the day after Thanksgiving -- there was a handful of regulars sitting at the bar with a large room of empty tables behind us.   Far behind us an old rear-projection big screen TV was playing some war movie.

The bartender was pleasant, as were the other customers.  

In addition to the TV there are video poker machines and at least 3 pool tables.   There's also a stage area for bands to play.
