A little bit of a hit and miss. Generally, the food is ok, sometimes excellent, and at times sub par. Consistency (in the kitchen) seems to be the issue. Front of the house friendly and efficient.

Where food, service and love all meet

Let me start this review telling you what King's Crossing is not. It is not frozen cookie cutter food made by people that don't care. You can get that any where. It is not fancy or over priced.

What King's Crossing is, is great food made by people that clearly know homemade great food. Service has always been friendly, and I have never left there disappointed.

It looks like a typical small town diner, but that is where things change. This place is the Holy Land for people that love GREAT Midwest food. The soups are made with leftovers and are fantastic. Just like mom used to make.

The salad bar is very good with lots of garden fresh options.
Every plate that went by, I got excited and wished that plate was mine. Burgers look fantastic, the steaks smell wonderful, and the specials are always a treat. They have desserts that look like someone's grandma had just made them for the county fair. I have never had enough room to try them, but man oh man, they bring back memories.

This diner has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat. The prices are great, and it really brings me back to when food mattered. Bring a friend and drive up from Omaha. It is worth the 40 min drive. You will not be disappointed. I love it.

Other restaurants may be fancier and may have a bigger menu, but not many can top the quality of King's Crossing. It will take you back in time to Grandma's kitchen.
