I have been here many times before. Throughout all the different managements, it has never been better til now. The drink specials every night are too hard to pass up. Great prices & heavy hands. The food is excellent. My favorite would be the hummus. The Fries r fresh & tasty. Now for the hookah..first they make it themselves. second the quality for the price is better then anywhere else. ( Check in on Yelp or Facebook) My favorite would have to be Orgasm w/ the wine base. The Kinky blonde is also definitely a good choice. The service has definitely changed from the time to time I go there. I think the whole aspect of the cocktail waitresses adds to that "grand lounge" feeling. Some of the best service I have seen, very attentive. The "hookah boys" are always coming around w coals, they r on top of it. I enjoy the atmosphere, how things are set up. I would like to see more lounge chairs outside, couches. Something slightly more comfortable. The extension in the patio really helped, especially w there expansion of costumers. The music is good even though there was an odd mixture of music playing. From techno to heavy metal, I do enjoy this type of music but staying in a general music genre would be better. I enjoy coming here, the owners are so motivated & excited to see the place busy. I am happy to know that Simi Valley has a decent hookah bar. Whether u smoke hookah, drink, or just want a bite to eat; I suggest making a trip here. Its a great place for get togethers, celebrations, or just that " i wanna get hammered" night. Kis- Kiss is the best place to go for a good time.
Review Source:Disclaimer: I'm no hookah expert.
I found out about Kis Kiss about a year ago just before I was moving out of Simi Valley. The 1st thought that came to mind - why the hell didn't I find this place sooner?
Sure I can talk about how good the hookah is. But as I said before, I'm no expert. I'm not much of a smoker of anything at all actually. Thanks to Kis Kiss, I got my 1st smoker's cough working out last week. Lol! The food is actually really good. I absolutely LOVE the hummous. As for their drinks, from a bartender's standpoint, they're not the best tasting. But they will certainly sneak up on you and kick your ass if you don't pace yourself.
Ok, if you haven't figured it out yet, yes, this hookah lounge is a full service hang out. Hookah, food, and drinks. So you can go ahead and start knocking off all the other hookah lounges that you think can compete but they can't offer all of this. But after all that, that's not the main reason I go here. The number one reason for me is that it is so far removed from the rest of the Simi Valley night life, there really is no other choice for me if I want to stay local. Hip hop all night? Check. Lounge-y atmosphere? Check. Not seeing the same faces from every single dive bar in Simi Valley? Big effin check!
Now if you like the Simi dive bar scene, this place may not be for you. But I love it because I get to escape Simi Valley without having to drive outside city lines.
Food and drinks are expensive. Â Waitress refused to split up our bill and we ended up with a huge mess on our hands trying to deal with final bill.
Why would you keep one bill for a huge group of people that come and leave at different times?
Their kitchen smelled worse than their bathroom, I am glad I didn't order any food.
Not worth the hassle. Â Never coming back. Â How is this place still in business? Â Their website even tries to defend all the bad yelp reviews by saying it is from people who don't follow their 'policies'. Â This place is a joke. Â Instead of addressing the issues here, they try to blame the customer. Â Very classy!
