Be prepared to be ripped off. This location charges at least 100% more than any other top sushi restaurant in Florida.
The food was mediocre, sushi seemed fresh and would rate it as average, if it was not for the ridiculous pricing and mandatory 20% gratuity I would have given it a 3 star rating.
I do not enjoy leaving a meal feeling ripped off.
Gorgeous Bar area, very nice furniture and hard wood flooring and ambiance and decorations, super cool aquarium, only draw back which is typical for a nice resort is the prices, $10 for a beer is steep, hard to believe I was paying that much for a beer, wow what has the world come too. :)
Review Source:I've been coming to the Marriott for years and this resort is the only game in town. They always try to keep up with the times by reinventing the resort and their amenities. I especially like that they replaced the "caddyshack" style lobby bar and replaced it with Korals some time ago. It's a great lounge that complements the interior of the resort. The staff has always been great but I would just stick to the drinks. The available sushi is a nice option however for the $ I wouldn't bother unless I was in a pinch. The one constant with the Marco Marriott is offering a good product at astronomical prices and this lounge follows suit. Â As long as the weather is nice I would stick to drinks at Quinn's downstairs. After all ur paying big bucks to be on the water u might as well enjoy the view at Quinn's bar!
Review Source:Better place to dine than Kurrents downstairs. We had the pancetta wrapped Gulf Shrimp for an appetizer and it was lick the plate worthy! Â Loved our sushi rolls (Rookery and something else, memory fails me now)! Â Hubby liked the sushi (he spent years working in Japan), but I think they may need some work.
Nice wine, but expensive as others have mentioned.
I was staying at the Marriott and decided to check out this restaurant which is in the lobby. Â
Pros - The decor and atmosphere is very stylish and inviting. Â The sake was good, but overpriced. Â The lettuce wraps were okay.
Cons - The food left a LOT to be desired. Â The short rib pot stickers were gross. Â I have to be honest - they were tasteless and didn't resemble the taste of short ribs at all. Â Not really sure what meat it was. Â The sauce for the wings was some type of peanut sauce - which was not good. Â
Overall, I say go here for a quick drink and enjoy the ambiance. Â Please go someplace else to eat.
This is the lobby bar of the Marco Island Marriott. It has a nice sushi bar, a pleasant seating arrangement, beautiful view, and friendly staff. The sushi is great, but a bit pricey (as you'd expect from a hotel restaurant). They also have a few other small plates and a couple of desserts. As a bar, it's quite nice, too, but again pricey.
The staff is very friendly, though they probably could use a couple more servers on the floor. The service made a number of mistakes, but they were very gracious about it and made things right each time.
They should definitely open earlier and stay open later, especially the bar.
