La Casa Latina

Great food, friendly staff, and now serving margaritas and sangria!! My family and I enjoy eating here a couple of times a month. It's perfect when we're craving traditional Mexican fair. Their menu has something for everyone. I personally judge a place by their guacamole, and these guys got it down.  My boyfriend loves the armadillo eggs for an app and their empanadas are superb. The chorizo is hands down the best I've ever had. The tacos borrachos are super yummy. All the desserts are muy delicioso, and have that homemade feel. The staff are very accommodating. Anyone complaining about their pricing here clearly hasn't eaten at any local Mexican restaurants, which are way more expensive, offer smaller portion sizes, and their food isn't even homemade!

The Tostones was fantastic, as was the rest of the place. We almost made the mistake of eating at some of the other joints in town. Luckily we found La Casa Latina. The food and service was excellent!!  Watch out for the statue of Rip Van Winkle, someone left it in the middle of the road.

I went here the first week it opened. The food is your standard mexican fare but for what you receive it's expensive, and stingy on the condiments. Mexican food is cheap to make and that should be reflected in the price. Carne asada tacos is $13, and the cheapest burrito is $10. Although this won't break the bank I had carne asada and it was over $20 with maybe a quarter cup of guac & pico de gala. When I asked for more they gave me another quarter cup. I can make this same food as good at home for a fraction of the price. Or go to two other relatively close mexican restaraunts and enjoy a better atmosphere and endless supply of condiments. Also they had no liquor license so forget the margaritas. I would go back if their prices become rational & their service improved.
