If you have food allergies or aversions, do not go here. Â I get violently sick every time I eat dairy, so I asked them for the fajitas with no cheese or sour cream. Â They brought it out with cheese on the beans, so I asked for a new plate. Â Apparently they just scooped off the cheese they could see, not the cheese that had melted into the lettuce and other things on the plate. Â I didn't see it either before I ate half the plate. Â Long story short, I am now having quite the rough day.
The first rule of restaurants is DO NOT MAKE YOUR CUSTOMERS SICK.
If you every find yourself in Natchez, MS go try la Fiesta Grande!
Staff is really friendly, the chips and salsa they give you are extremely addictive, and the prices are great! They have a lunch menu which cuts the prices even more.
Yesterday I had the Jamaican Pollo without the cheese on top, with mushrooms and onions. It was delicious!!!!
I give this place 4 stars because of it's location. Â It's not the worst or best Mexican I've eaten, but if you're visiting or driving through Natchez, Ms and craving Mexican this is probably your best choice. Â I've actually been here several times since we visit Natchez frequently. Â The service is good, staff is friendly and everything on the menu is reasonably priced.
Review Source:The restaurant is pleasantly decorated in clear tones under a high wooden ceiling and exposed beams, with elegant, widely spaced tables. It remains romantic, with the moon's rays glittering on the Mississippi through the fake palm trees and the massive fireplace painted on the wall (though we are not sure about the photograph on top of the mantel). Being so close to the water, you will probably be in the mood for catfish. And it would be a good choice, because the quality and freshness are above reproach. Start with the quesadilla, seasoned with the finest corn oils and black pepper, the steak taco, the tortilla soup or the taco salad (crisp lettuce, ground beef, avocado). Â Meat eaters will find pork burrito or a juicy flank steak. American cheeses are available before a lemon meringue, chocolate pudding or citrus parfait. You will find the wine list on the back of the menu with selections from Northern Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas and some cheap crap from France. The service is professional and courteous.
Review Source:you can definitely find your standard mexican fare here; however, you should at least drive by to see the three 'palm' trees out in front of this place. Â At night the place looks like it should belong in Las Vegas!
During the day it looks like they should add a few pink flamingos in the front to match the plastic palm trees.
