La Veta Loco

We come to the area a lot.  This is where we go for good food.  Love love the pizza, and the green chili burger was fantastic!  Entree Salads were a bit small for the price. Stick with the pizza or burgers.  Breakfast was also pretty darn good...pancakes excellent, biscuits and gravy... Good.  Our one complaint has been the service, mostly because in such a small town, it is hard to get good reliable help.  But the ones there, try hard.  Just be prepared for a longer wait.  I haven't had the desserts yet, but I hear they're good...from family recipes.

My Fiancee and I moved here two months ago, and this has become our go to place here in town.  I am pretty sure we have come here about a dozen times in two months.

The bar is efficiently designed and could keep up with a brisk business.  They have about 8 beers on draft, and a decent liquor selection.  Unfortunately, it never seems like they have enough customers.  

The homemade guacamole is the best I have ever had at a restaurant.  However, because it is so popular, they seem to run out of it at the most inconvenient times.

Their pizza and calzones are very good.  My fiancee tells me that the Chili Nachos are to die for.  They have a BBQ Burger whose sauce is very good.  But I wish that they had some BBQ selections to go along with this great sauce.  Maybe some day.  But until then, we will continue to visit on a regular basis.
