Lake Louie offers all of my favorites beers: Scotch Ale; Cream Ale; Pale Ale; IPA; Milk Stout; Belgian Farmhouse Ale and brews the most unusual (Scotch, Milk; Belgian and Cream) to rare heights. Although some of their darks are a taste is a little syrupy (at times), their boundless experimentation heaps high rewards.

They have only been around since the turn of the millennium, but are becoming increasing more available and continue to meet and surprise with selection and consistency.

You know why I haven't left Madison since graduating from the good ole' UW?  The beer selection.

Lake Louie is the best goddamn beer ever.  Warped Speed Scotch Ale and the Arena Premium Ale are fine, hand crafted beers that will not disappoint and you'll only find them in Dane County.  No longer bottled in the growlers (gallon jugs of beer), six packs are available at your better liquor stores and look for Lake Louie on tap at all your favorite bars.
