Pickings are slim in Pateros for dining options. We had hit the bakery up earlier in the day for our pre-fishing lunch and after checking into our luxurious accommodations were dying for a beer and some food. There were two choices close by, one looked a bit scarier than the other so we ended up here.
Calling this place a sports bar is a bit of a stretch... in the small bar area they do have TVs and sports memorabilia, but the main dining room is brightly lit and seems more like a restaurant than a sports bar. Menu is filled with very greasy choices... burgers, etc... The night we were there was steak night....10oz for $9.95 I believe. JP went with that, it came with garlic bread, baked potato and Caesar salad. I really wanted a salad but there weren't many choices so I went with a dinner salad that came complete with goldfish on top. We got a good laugh over that, especially since JP had croutons on his Caesar so we knew they had croutons.
Lots of heavy drinking going on around us. Â A beer and a shot seems to be the standard order per person. Â We stuck to a couple of beers. Service was good, I would give at least 3 stars for that. Â This place makes Seattle dive bars look classy.
This place actually looks a lot better than I remember it to be.
Many moons ago I had brief (a week) work in this dinky town, so we would frequent this joint for lunch and then again for dinner yet we never really ate. It was mostly beer and pool for us.
The service was just fine and the food from what I remember was okay as far as the burgers, but the salads were a no go.
Beer and Pool. Beer and pool is the only reason...and maybe a hillbilly girl.
