Went for a drive on a Saturday morning and ended up at Lakeview restaurant for breakfast. Â We ordered typical northern-midwest breakfast including eggs, sausage, pancake, hashbrowns and toast. Â It took a little longer than expected to get our food but the over-easy eggs were fine and the pancake was excellent. Â The toast was toward the burnt side which happens to be how we like it, although not ordered that way. Â The hashbrowns appeared to originate from frozen, not fresh but that is typical for the area. Â The restaurant is connected to a convenience store that operates a doorbell each time the door is opened. Â If you can put up with frequent 'ding-dong' during your meal it won't bother you. Â The bathrooms are quite small, one-person only, which is odd because the restaurant also contains a bar. Â Prices were a little high for a typcial breakfast diner but Lakeview is in a tourist-oriented area so they charge a little more. Â The wait staff was friendly and appeared to check back with customers frequently. Â I would go there again.
