I will never go here again. Â The food was delicious, but took forever for us to order. Our waitress was more worried about cleaning tables that people werent sitting at than serving us. The drinks are way overpriced, like casino over priced. We had 5 of us there for a night out where we wanted to eat and drink, our bill, along with bowling was more than 350.00. It was insane. The bowling was great, but the waitress was rude and you could tell she wanted to leave. I would much rather get a few pitchers of beer and some pizza when I bowl.
Review Source:Rude bar staff and even ruder bowling staff. Asked for a wait estimate for a lane and got an eye roll, a sigh, and no answer Lanes (ten only) are always overcrowded, so plan on at least a several hour wait, and the bowling times are time limits (not by game) so prepare to get cut off for the next customer. Also, the pins are on strings? Not worth it!!
Review Source:The Lanes Bowl and Bistro is a welcome new addition to Mashpee. Â We took my nephews (5 and 8) on a recent day off. We were a group of five when my sister joined us after we bowled. The lanes are at the back, modern, with all the screens and technology you need. Since we had the little ones, we made use of the lane bumpers. It was cool they could program them to only go up when the kids bowled, and go back down when the adults did. They had a ramp for the youngest as well. The Lanes are 10-pin only, which is an adjustment for me, since I grew up on the Cape only bowling candlepin. Â You can pay per game or per hour. On a weekday an hour is $20, which isn't too bad; shoes are $4 (kinda steep).
After we bowled we got a table in the front section and had some desserts. The ice cream sandwiches were delicious (an order actually comes with 4 mini-sandwiches, so it's definitely one to share). Â My sister had heard they had ice cream floats, which didn't turn out to be on the menu, but the server was able to accommodate and make us one...great customer service. Â
As far as decor goes, I appreciated the "Vintage Industrial" look the place is going for. They've done a great job incorporating recycled/re-purposed items to be more "green." Â I also liked the idea that their beers are all from New England (I try to choose whatever is local no matter where I am). As a matter of fact, all beers and soft drinks are on tap, reducing waste from bottles and cans. Â (I read that on the website after the manager or owner commented on a previous review!) Â The kids got a kick out of the giant fan.
I hear they have live music on the weekend, so we may have to go back for a different atmosphere some evening (especially if they get Glasstown in again...we're fans!) Â While prices may prevent the Lanes from becoming an everyday hang-out, it seems to be filling a much-needed niche in the area for somewhere fun, modern and hip for both adults and families to hang out. Well-done.
Tonight my wife and I along with our 14 year old and 11 year old went to the new bistro and bowling alley in Mashpee. At first when you hear the words Bistro and bowling they may not match in your mind and to be honest the combination didn't seem very appealing to me until I walked into  there establishment the other night.
I found this combination worked very well at The Lanes. Big , roomy, fun , and  family friendly with very tasty and delicious menu choice. This is the combination that works. My son and I had  Cuban sandwich  full of meat and some of the best bread I've had anywhere on the cape. My wife had an Italian sub sandwich with very fresh ingredients and was very tasty and my younger son  pizza tasted as good as any pizza in Mashpee!  My whole family loved there dinner and can"t wait to go back again!
The front room is more suited for couples and maybe older clientele, while the back area is more suited for families and group. It is a little noise in the back but you can't have bowling without a little noise. Also I think they did a good job at  integrating technology into the Bistro.
The server was helpful and kind and she was able to tell us about each dish and give her advice when asked.
This is a great addition to Mashpee! The Lanes is long over due!! Welcome!!
