This is by far my Favorite place to go every time I'm back in town. My parents live just across the river and it's a short walk on over to the bar.
Best prices around and the food is good. The "cheap chicken" nights are as good as they sound from other reviewers and I often order it even if it's not Tuesday because I have missed it since I moved away. Im willing to wait however long it takes on a normal night to get me some of that chicken!
The staff is Super fun and friendly, their whole menu is great and for a price you just can't beat! Â
I say if you are in the area stop in. You'll be glad you did. Â
If you do go to crazy chicken night, plan to arrive early and be ready to wait a bit if your after 5:30. Â They sell out fast so get there early or order out! :)
I can't say enough good things about this place. If you're looking for homestyle food, a one-of-a-kind atmosphere, & impressive specials- you really can't beat Last Chance. I've been going to the legendary Tuesday night fried chicken special since I was in college. We call it "Chicken Tuesday"; and we drive about 25 miles to get that bird. Its worth it!!
Review Source:I second everything from Kelly, except that I have never seen grandma on a lawn mower.
My dad coined the nickname, "Cheap Chicken" (nickname for the bar), & has actually been asked by people if he's been there. Haha!
I have only been there on Tuesday, but I guess they have good specials every night.
As my dad said, "We spent about $15 on gas in order to drive to a place to get $2 chicken."
Tuesdays are Crazy Chicken Days at the Last Saloon. You can get a 1/4 dark for $1.75 or 1/4 white for $2.75 and  for $4 you get a 1/2 order which you can get mixed.
The deal starts at 5pm and the place can get crowded. We placed our order while we waited for a seat. Now this place is sort of in the middle of nowhere-- definitely a very local dive. A lot of people from Morris come out to joint for the chicken deal. But just because it's local doesn't mean they don't welcome new people with a warm smile and a cold beer (the beer was really cold!).
You will definitely see some characters in and around this place-- which used to be an old bank-- including the including the 80 year old woman driving her riding lawn mower down the street out front... I kid you not.
