Great food. Â Hamburgers are great. Â Be sure to ask for fried onions for your hamburger and barbecue sauce. Â On Saturday nights they feature steaks. Â This is a place where REAL cowboys go for food and refreshments. Â Ranch trucks loaded with saddles and cattle dogs will be parked out front. Â The place is nothing fancy but it is representative of real life in the Flint Hills of Kansas. Â Be sure to drive straight East of the Saloon on a gravel road to the Caney Breaks. Â It is a plateau where the land slopes east toward the Caney river basin. Â Also, go straight West a few miles to see one of the longest stone fences in Kansas along a black top road.
