I'm not usually a fan of Italian food, but this place was awesome. The pesto, as others have mentioned, was great. Lots of olive flavor to it. My own food (ravioli) was great, and so were the other entrees my family members ordered (I sampled them). I'd love to go back.

We stayed in Logan on our way to the Grand Tetons and sites beyond, and decided to try Le Nonne on our one night in town, based on reviews here and on TripAdvisor. Our experience was good, but not outstanding.

We ordered two appetizers and a pasta course. The smoked salmon crepes were excellent, if not what we expected...a dish we would recommend.

The second appetizer was the tuna ahi carpaccio (sp?) was less satisfactory. The concept was good, but the dish was overwhelmed by the oil dressing...way over-sauced.

Over-sauced was also the problem with the evening special of veal ravioli. It could have been a great dish, if it hadn't been swimming in garlic butter (the garlic was great, but the butter bath was not). The ravioli were quite good, if cooked a bit beyond al dente.

For dessert, we decided to try the profiteroles, one of our favorites, and the presentation was beautiful. The fresh raspberries were excellent as was the chocolate sauce. However, the "profiteroles" were miniature cream puffs, not the ice cream filled pastries that are expected.

    Service was excellent.

Don't plan on a good by-the-glass wine list or their listed spirits to be in stock.

Overall, it was a very pleasant evening and meal, but not a 5-star experience. We probably would try other options in Logan before we would go back, but would probably try it again eventually.

LeNonne has lost a star from me. Owners Pier and Stephanie went to Oahu to open another restaurant and the managers now in charge have let quality slip.

It started with a stale menu and items that would stay "New" for years (literally) -- along with the same "specials" every time we came.

Still a fan and still enjoy several of their items (bruschetta con mozzarella and crab ravioli are ALWAYS good for instance), but the bistecchina is not always fantastic, I've had dry mahi mahi, and the pennette alla pera has been served with the pears out of season and not sweet.

Still one of our favorites, but they're resting on their laurels right now and need to respond to some criticism.
