This is a new Casino, hotel, restaurant on the shore of Lake Superior and overlooks Apostle Islands. The grounds are kept spotless (even tho people walk their dogs on the paths) Â and with a swimming beach and boat dock on the water. The hotel has a small but nice swimming pool, whirlpool and hot-tub plus a small exercise room. Our room had a convenient layout and beautiful color design with TV and overlooked the lake.( 2 bed queen, room 202). The employees were friendly and helpful and quick to our needs, and kept our room very clean during our 4 night stay. Yes, the Casino part has smoking and that is a little tough to walk through on the way to the restaurant which has great food (if they don't run out) and also an outside deck to eat on overlooking the lake. We did smell smoking around our room coming from somewhere for 2 of our 4 night stay. The hotel does have a $200 fine for smoking in the non-smoking and I hope they in force this. It would be nice to have a fridge in the room. We had a great time as the Red Cliff Pow Wow was going on some of those days. We also took in The Big Top Chautauqua on Sat. night with a free shuttle from the Casino to the show and back. Nice! We would recommend this hotel.
Review Source:This is a brand new beautiful casino/hotel on prime shore overlooking Apostle Islands on Lake Superior. Â The scenery is magnificent. Â Unfortunately, since it is on Native American reservation, they allow smoking in the casino and outside restaurant. Â The smoke smell is horrible. Â It has ruined the brand new building. Â I agree with the previous reviewer. Â The smoke smell carried into out hotel room. Â We ate a delicious lunch on the deck but even though we were dining outside, the smoke from the cigarettes at the table next to us was very disagreeable. Â I would love to return but will not because of the smoke smell. Â The non-smoking section of the casino is a joke.
Review Source:The casino itself is nice, since it's very windowy. The Casino itself is very smoky. Really smoky. They gave us some free chips/credit, but the casino was smoky enough that I couldn't really spend them. The smoke carries over as well to the hotel side enough that we had to change rooms during our stay to something on the 3rd floor. The rooms were nice, they all look out onto the lake.
