Ate dinner at Legends Sports Grill this evening, I've eaten there several times in the past with no problems. Tonight I must have gotten the poor server of the bunch, she didn't know the menu very well and didn't seem like she really cared to deal with an issue I had.
When I ordered I ask what Corn Fritters were, she gave me kind of a blank look and said kind of like a hush puppy. I ordered a side of them and to my disappointment they came heavily covered with powdered sugar, they looked like you needed to dig out from a severe snow storm. I told the server that wasn't what I expected, she walked away. Later she came back and I told here there were not good, she ignored me and walked away.
If you get a server names Trish S. do your self a favor and ask for someone else.
Food was great, our sever was very sweet but the manager was super rude when we wanted to switch tables and watch the football game even though by its name and how the place is decked out in sports gear it was the reason we came. Needless to say, we will be going to the tiki bar next time when come to Maggie Valley.
Review Source:Every time my friends and I go up to the Harrah's Cherokee Casino, we make sure to come through Maggie Valley on the way back to stop at Legends for an awesome burger! The sports bar atmosphere is very relaxing and the staff is always friendly as can be. We are a bunch of relocated Northerners, but we still feel right at home when we eat at Legends.
Stop in for a burger and a beer, you won't be disappointed!
A visit to Maggie Valley is not complete without dinner at Legends. Â I've been there many times. Â Their hours are the best around, and the food fantastic.
They are a sports grill and bar having everything from wings to burgers. Â They have a huge fireplace in the front which does a great job of warming up the whole place.
The service as always been great but keep in mind that during the ski season this place will get packed. Â Obviously others feel the same about Legends as I do.
The wings at Legend's ARE legend. Â Lots of yummy sauce variations to try. Â And the homestyle fries? Â Addictive. Â Play a little NTN Trivia while you're waiting for the second batch of wings to come out (the first ones were so good, you've got to have more). Â After, cozy up in front of the open fireplace with your favorite somebody and a cocktail.
Review Source:This is an excellent choice for the sports fan--and doesn't pub food just pace perfectly with the roar of TV sports events? The sports theme is apparent in the 22 sports-tuned TVs, dozens of sports photos, servers in referee uniforms, shiny wooden bartop and paneling, and ice-filled canoe.
Legends has clearly put much thought and effort into making their specialties hearty and memorable. I tried the jalapeno poppers, wings, and two burgers (split with a dining companion, I assure you!). The poppers were very good, though not made fresh in the restaurant.
Legends offers 13 flavors of wings, each of which is showcased behind the bar in large bottles resembling motor oil containers. Though the bottles made me think of a racetrack, the taste didn't. Both the garlic and nuclear were potent and finger-licking good. Nuclear--their hottest flavor--was "American hot," bringing tears to the eyes of Americans but not to a native Mexican, Thai, or Indian.
The burgers were the most unique menu item. Besides the basic hamburger and cheeseburger (with five choices of cheese) are eight great combos. I tried the wildest: a burger topped with egg salad and one with peanut butter. The burger was excellent--thick and juicy and worth returning for. As much as I enjoy burgers and egg salad and peanut butter, though, I don't think I'll put those flavors together again. Next time I'll settle for the BBQ burger or mountain burger or go wild with the cordon bleu burger.
The beer selection was standard macrobrew and wine selection typical-sports-bar weak.
I live in Maggie Valley and Legends is a consistently great place to eat. Casual, fast service, delicious burgers (gigantic!), easy parking, lots of different beer for beer drinkers, great chicken wings (love the Bourbon wings), and an expanded menu. Sports memorabilia everywhere, and of course, TV's galore. It's fast, fun and filling. Review Source:Legends Sports Grill is an exciting night out after relaxing in the Smokies. Â I ordered the cordon blue burger; I must warn you, although it is one of the best burgers that I have ever had, it is huge! Â We had fun at Legends and will visit again the next time we are in Maggie Valley.
