I would recommend the pretzel bun for any sandwich, it's great. All of their smoothies are great. I like their cream sickle smoothie, and my girlfriend gets the tango mango every time. The food's a little pricy but the friendly service, clean environment  and delicious food makes it more than worth it. I feel the smoothies are very reasonable in price and every one that I've tried has been great. I've almost tried every one on the menu. You can get every sandwich in a lettuce wrap, you just have to ask. Overall, I think it's a great addition to Saginaw's food scene and I hope it's here to stay.

When I first walked in I thought I had entered a tennis pro shop. If the decor/ambiance is a bit strange it is, at least, very clean. There are 2-3 cash registers with smiling faces ready to take your order, so you won't spend much time standing around waiting for someone to assist you. I was surprised to find that they don't sell lettuce wraps (we have the technology!) and will not make half-sandwiches for individual sale, despite offering them as part of a combo. What was really unfortunate was how long it took to get our food after placing our order; over twenty minutes for a cold sandwich and a smoothie. It was 1:00 pm on a Tuesday, and there were approximately ten customers in the restaurant, hardly cause for such an extended wait.

The food itself was so-so. I had a turkey and bacon sandwich on ciabatta. The ciabatta was too thick, causing the entire sandwich to be a bit dry. I don't blame the restaurant for that, if I go back I will try one of their other bread options. That being said, the sandwich was not any better than what I would expect from, say, Arby's, but it cost about 25% more. The smoothie was delicious, made from kiwi, strawberries, and yogurt.

It is not my intention to be cynical, but I had high-hopes for the Lettuce Lounge, and, aside from the smoothie, they did not meet my expectations. Hopefully they work out these early kinks before my next visit.

I was honestly very excited to see this place opening in my neighborhood.  It serves as a good alternative to the mundane fast food options in the area.  They serve a variety of sandwiches, wraps, soups, salads and smoothies.  After looking over the menu, which is reasonably priced for a big city but over priced for Saginaw I went with the buffalo chicken wrap, my girlfriend did a 'build your own salad' (which she enjoyed being able to do) and a cup of soup to-go.  First the service seemed to be more hung up in whatever was going on in the kitchen than with us up front.  They were dancing and singing in the back which was great to see young people having a good time in their work environment but it caused our service to suffer.  They forgot to give us our drink cup, chips, napkins and silverware and my wrap was lacking taste and ingredients... like the BUFFALO sauce.  I didn't realize this until I got home and didn't feel like returning to get the sandwich I ordered.  The interior is also awkward to me, it felt very minimal and cold.  I really wouldn't have felt comfortable sitting down for a meal and eating in house. It felt much more like a to-go order counter with optional seating than a restaurant.  Hopefully they will get their early quirks worked out and I can give them another shot to earn back my business, as for now if I am in that neighborhood and I am looking for a more comfortable, less expensive and better tasting experience I will head to Souper Cafe.
