Restaurant has changed names to Lidia's Latin Food .Delicious and very reasonably priced Latin American cuisine. The owner is from Honduras and they serve some Honduran dishes, but also serve authentic Mexican style tacos, and some dishes that seem more Colombian style. I tried pupusas and Honduran style enchiladas, both were great. I am familiar with Honduran food because I have traveled in El Salvador, which is nextdoor and has similar cuisine. Homemade horchata drink was quite good
Review Source:This place is an oasis in the gastronomic wasteland that is Juniata County. Authentic Latin American dishes from a number of locales, Jorge and his "esposa" do an excellent job of pulling it all together for inexpensive and delicious dishes.
My wife and I have gone twice and have been impressed each time. I brought my parents at one point and they were equally as impressed. I have to say go for anything with pork in it -- all the meat is locally grown and butchered at a family owned farm just 10 minutes from the restaurant... as fresh as it can get.
Also, they're doing an amazing job giving back to the community, organizing a festival last weekend complete with music, dancing and free health screenings for the people in the community that really need it. People who don't have jobs or health insurance, let alone enough money to eat out. Talk about a local treasure!
