Great food... We enjoyed the mussels, blackened swordfish and cheesy baked grouper, but the food's a bit pricey. The view was spectacular, but the decor needs an update

Honestly, this place is a little out-dated but the chicken fingers are DELICIOUS, but don't get the linguini with marinara side-dish, the marinara tastes like vomit, the marinara juice is on the bottom and it looks gross, so I've seen better pasta in my days. The fish was dry. The hostess lady looked like she wanted to hurt me and all she said was: "do you have a reservation?"  in a snotty way. Let's not forget the macaw... the guy said it could bite your finger off and he said hello to me. VERY SCARY! Over all, I wouldn't recommend it. Not the best in the Gulf.

Even though the food here is good but nothing special, we love stopping here when we want to get away from the Naples scene. Service has always been good and it is about as laid back a water view as you will get anywhere. We always sit outside.

On our last stop we started with the mussels which were very large in a tasty broth, and their conch soup which was average. Needs less potato and more conch.

Their broiled fish dinners are fresh but portions are small considering the prices.  Sides are OK.

Wine and beer prices are very fair, and our service has always been good.

This is the type of place where nothing is objectionable, but nothing really wows.

Had Sunday brunch w/a group of 7.  Everyone enjoyed their meal.  My first experience w/cold stone crab (?) quiche.  Delicous.  Undoubtedly the best key lime pie in the UNIVERSE.  Creamy, lite, to die for-all 7 agreed!!

This was our first time trying Little Bar and we loved it. We went on a Saturday night and unfortunately didn't make reservations. However, the hostess found a spot for us immediately. She said our little girls were so cute that she couldn't make them wait.

Our server, Jaime, was amazing. Very helpful with the menu, constantly making sure our needs were met on a very busy night.

I had the Shrimp Dejonge and thought it was great. Others in our party had Blackened Grouper and Tuna Wasabi and were very pleased.

Overall,  we loved it and will be back. Its a very comfortable place with great options for food and drink. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Great food, best selection of fresh seafood around Marco island, you can chose the way you like it prepared. Great staff and service. We will come back next year. It's the place the locals go to eat.

Food is good, and service was great.   Would get 4 stars from me except for the rude older lady who is the "hostess".  I would think that a hostess by nature should be polite and welcoming.  Instead, we seemed to be bothering her and pulling her away from something else.  WE had called ahead and made a reservation for one of the cool tables by the water, but they didn't write our number down correctly, so we were rudely shoved into a regular table.

Despite the inhospitable welcoming, things were great after that. I love the yuengling on tap, and the fresh fish is well cooked and presented.  Service was prompt and our server both friendly and helpful.  The best part of the meal is the peanut butter pie, which is worth coming back for.

Swap out the hostess- or at least re-train her on how to be friendly and welcoming --  and it would have been a top-notch experience.

Doesn't look like a place with great food, but it is.  Panko-encrusted snapper last night was the best, big portion, but you pay for it.

Stopped here on a recommendation from a friend.  Great atmosphere in spite of the dated appearance.  The service was good and the food just ok.  Had stone crab claws, not the best we've had but decent.  Fried Shrimp were the best of what we ordered. Fried oysters and soft shell crabs were both overdone with the breading.  Chili was ok.  It's a good place to go if your enjoying a day on the boat but I wouldn't make a special trip to come back.

Great fresh fish. Good service, good food and only a few minutes wait to be seated. Will go again next time I'm in town.

Another Yelp find.  We read about it here, and thought we'd check it out.  As we were sitting in the bar waiting for our table (we didn't have reservations but it wasn't a long wait), we noticed lots of Chicago sports items...turns out the owners are from our home town (Downers Grove) and went to high school with my parents!  Small world!

The menu was a large board they put up in front of the table, which was different and the place screams dive bar, but in a great relaxed way.  The service was a little slow, but the meal was delightful and the outdoor sitting was a nice touch for our final night of vacation!

Had lunch on the water, great setting.  We tried black bean soup and chili, both were excellent, followed by grouper and chips, again spot on.  Also props for a surprisingly good little winelist.

Totally mediocre.  Not only don't they serve Heinz ketchup, but they pour it into tired looking and obviously old Heinz bottles.

Went to the bar to wait for an outdoor table.  Beautiful bar with very cool decor, but was a little worried about how loud it would be when the band played.  Boy I must be getting old!
We were seated at a waterfront table that made us feel like we were in a waterfront garden, not a dive bar.  Considering our last visit was to Stan's next store and that's a DIVE BAR!
Our server Paul was a little clumsy but very nice and knew the menu well.  We ordered AmberJack smoked dip and some sweet tater fry's for an app.  AJ dip was served with veggies & crackers.  If you know AmberJack you know the only way to eat it is smoked and we both loved it!  Her sweet fry's were very tasty.  Wife had  dolphin fish & chips that was great!  Fried just right with the perfect batter and her second serving of fry's were crispy and great.  I ordered the blackened grouper salad which is definitely not my comfort zone and it was a superb choice!  I shy away from blackened anything because it is usually to salty for me, but this was outstanding!  Perhaps the best piece of grilled fish I have ever had.  For dessert we shared a slice of some peanut-butter pie that was great.
Great view, cold beverages, great food, service off the beaten path location and their was another Harley parked out front when we pulled up.
    My kind of place!

PS, don't tell Guy about this place or we will never get in again!

This place is a little strange but very good. I'm not really shire what the nutcracker decor is all about but if nothing else it gave us a laugh. We really enjoyed the live music and water front dining.

If you go definitely try the Conk Fitters, they are amazing. We will be back.

This was my favorite spot we visited while vacationing on Marco Island.  Kitschy atmosphere, lots of character, authentic back woods feel.  We just loved it.  And then there was the food.....wow, I was impressed.  The mussels were big and juicy, the salad dressings all homemade and good enough to mention in a review!  And our  scallops were cooked to buttery perfection.  Highly recommend if you want great seafood and an opportunity to hang where the locals do.

Really nice. Reasonable prices compared to the other touristy areas. Gets crowded. The burger was good, not great, but good. Went for lunch another day and had mahi mahi. It was fried, but good portion, lightly battered, and very moist for $10.95. Nice deal. Nothing for tap beers (Well 3, bud, bud light, and yuengling), and didn't seem to have many bottled. They used a measuring device for the drinks, which is a major turn off. Giving it a 3, with the 4.5 being for the food quality/price value, and 2 for the drinking component. Want to give it four because relative to the other options it is great, but just can't. Still one of the best options around.

Great service, fast, hot, fresh, delicious!  Doesn't look like much from the outside, but boy was this a great place to eat.  We've been coming to Marco Island for 18 years and this was my first time eating at Little Bar.  My parents have always said how great it was.  We came by boat and though it was busy, we got a seat right away and were served quickly.  Highly recommend the scallops, and the Blackened Mahi Mahi was great too.

Overpriced, crowded, mediocre food.  The patio was scenic but the food was not worth the bill.

Again, another vacation stop but one worth writing about. The Little Bar Restaurant was fantastic. It is off the beaten, tourist-ridden path that is Marco Island and gives you an idea of how true Floridians dine. I heard about this place from Yelp and am glad I trusted the previous reviews.

My family and I had a wonderful time with some delicious nosh. I consider myself to be a seafood fanatic and let me tell you - the blacked scallops were phenomenal. I, along with the rest of the fam, enjoyed each bite of my meal.

Our waitress' name somehow slipped my mind but it was Miss ... something. A play on words. She was the bees knees. Very friendly, fun to talk to, and helpful with our decisions.

If I'm ever back in the area I'm definitely going back for another round of those scallops!

I am happy to report as a designated driver, that this was one of the most fun places of our 6 hour bar hopping experiment. Starting at Stans, Old Marco island lodge, two hours at each place with no down play to the previous two, as they are all great in their own ways.

This was a night with old friends and plenty of locals sharing what they love most, smiles, winks, music, drinks and conversation. This place is filled with so much history. From the moment you open the doors and pipe organ divider to the restaurant  and little bar. Music was light more acts in Naples should take a lesson that turning the volume up to11 is not necessary and not a replacement for talent. The bar is cozy warm and inviting. Merrill's performance is incredible.  I look forward to seeing the little bar in the future.

This off the beaten path spot is absolutely fantastic! Good, fresh seafood and all the delicacies you'd expect from a south Florida local, waterfront restaurant. However, the one thing that you wouldn't expect is their black bean soup. A favorite of my mother-in-law Little Bar's Black Bean Soup is perfectly seasoned, not too thick, and great start to any Little Bar meal.

They'll also blacken, broil, or fry any fish you may have caught on your fishing expeditions that day (for $12 per person). We were lucky enough to have caught a bunch of mangrove snapper, some redfish, and a couple sheepscott for our meal and they served them perfectly. The fried snapper was moist and not too breaded, allowing the beautiful super fresh fish to melt like butter in our mouths.

However, if you don't have the luck we did, you can always order local fish right at the restaurant. I'd recommend their Grouper, fried, with maybe some stone crab claws on the side. Ah, Florida heaven...

We travel continuously and love to eat where the locals go when they take their families out. This is such a place. Hands down best food and ambiance you will ever find for good food and a great time. SHOULD ALSO BE LISTED AS A CHOICE FOR MARCO ISLAND AS ITS ONLY A TEN MINUTE DRIVE  JUST ESE OF CITY LINE. The place is decorated with items transported from Chicago where the owners took advantage of items with a history: a bar from where Al Capone used to frequent; items from Chicago hanging on the wall; wooden organ pipes (now non-functioning - rescued from someone throwing out); more antiques than many a museum, et. cet.
We found this place to have great food. Try the sweet potato fries and Rock Crab in season.

A Classic and must visit. Fresh local seafood in a great location on the docks of Goodland.  Hope it never changes.
Bill of fare(menu)  brought to your table on a big dry board -one constant is shrimp - fried, almond fried , fish can very from grouper to mahi, snapper, tuna ....Also soft shell crabs, Florida lobster, frog legs. Stone crab in season.
Most items can be blackened, broiled, sauteed, fried (they know how to fry - the best). Always have several different sauces and presentations.

WOW- this place is too gQQd! We went on a friday night, met Ray and were seated by the quiet, birdy harbor.  We then proceeded through the most relaxed dinner during our week on Marco.  We didn't even notice the place filling up around us. This may be the only place we will go to twice this week.  Mussel app, salads and grouper and sirloin, with desert and a bottle of good wine+coffee- all under $140 for 2.  There is a lot of covert and overt effort in this establishment, all truly geared to make you feel like the most important guest of the day, from the robust welcome to the personable hosts and serving folks.  It is not even worth saying it is worth the drive- it isn't even that far out of the way.  Happy Hour? duh- alla time!
