Nice atmosphere!!  A little bit of everything on the menu.  Great to sit and relax.  Love the outdoor deck.

Ahhh where to begin with Loaded Joe's? When I lived in town, December 2010 - April 2011 this was my go-to place. Me and my buddy Sam had the distinct honor of becoming regulars even if only for a month or two.

First thing first, the mug club. If you live around here, go in a buy a mug, which runs (or used to) like $85 for the whole ski season, and you get a free beer every day plus a half priced shot. To achieve optimum value: finish your day on the mountain, if it's before happy hour, use your free beer and half priced shot, stick around till happy hour starts and get a half priced beer. If it's during happy hour, pay for a half priced beer (or two or three) wait till happy hour ends and then use your free beer (half priced shot at any point). In then end you will be drunk or buzzed and still have some money in the wallet.

The place has changed a lot since the last time I was there. I came in on the 4th of July and they had the garage doors open with a lot more seats and a full menu. When I hung around it was more just coffee and beer/liquor. I have absolutely no problem with them concentrating on food a little more. I had the Colorado Lamb burger with sweet potato fries and it was to die for. Good job Joe's, glad to see you're being progressive (seems to be necessary since a lot of the other bars we used to hang out at are gone).

Loaded Joe's will always be my pre- and post-ski hang out spot when I come to Beaver Creek.

Went for casual breakfast at 09:50. It took waitress 5 minutes to acknowledge us. Ordered coke and tea. 10 minutes they arrived. Meanwhile 3 tables came and ordered and 2 received their food. We finally ordered.....41 minutes later I asked the only waitress there where the food was, she ignored me. I asked again politely. 10 minutes our order came. Our drinks were empty and it was slam them on table and leave with bill. They took off one breakfast order. I left a tip because I felt sorry for waitress. Avoid this place like the plague.
    1. One waitress with 20 customers= bad management!
    2. Tea was very cool and weak( hot tea).
    3. Breakfast sandwich pretty good.
    4. Bathroom smelled like an open grave!
    5. Locals get priority, especially 4 top next to us who were so full of themselves and wasted servers time.
Management is to blame ,but server should try to persuade manège meant to help the server do their job.
Too many good places to go. Not worth the money or time.

Could give this place a 4-star but the breakfast was delicious and the happy hour Alaskan pints are $3 so what's not to like?  That being said fix the shuffle board table... hosers. #himym

My wife and I are new to the Avon area and immediately felt like locals at Loaded Joe's.  The staff was super friendly, not because they had to be, but just because that is who they are.

I thoroughly enjoyed their version of the blt and my wife thought the lamb burger was great.  Our dog fell in love with our server.

I plan to go back many times.

Loaded Joe's is the hot spot of Avon with pool tables, a dj and enough beer to get your grandfather drunk!

There's something to be said about a place that feels as though your friends are making your coffee...

Even on a Friday morning, the foot traffic in the span that I sat to enjoy a sandwich and book was lively; I couldn't help but feel that in a ski resort/ mountain town area, I had landed in the locally preferred cafe. I ordered the breakfast sandwich expecting mediocre and a rebuttal when asked if I could sub the bacon for veggies. If a breakfast sandwich could get better, I challenge the shop that argues it. They substituted my meat for tomatoes and a handful of fresh spinach and prepared my giant egg sandwich like it was their last. Despite it's massive size, I seriously debated getting a second when I stayed the morning to read and relax. Sadly, I didn't have that opportunity nor the one to try their decadent looking baked goods.

Upon first going in, I hadn't taken in the fact that it doubled as a cafe by day, bar by night.  It became clear to me after a moment when they opened the room to reveal a stage and pool table- two sure signs of a good night. When an establishment can find a way to transform from one highly necessary extreme to the other, there's praise to be given. Loaded Joe's dominated on the coffee shop side of things, so one can hope that their nightlife is just as enjoyable!

Had the best breakfast - I had the hash, my wife had eggs and bacon. Coffee was outstanding, service couldn't have been better. When I come back I'll definitely visit again.

I love this place. It's got a great atmosphere and everyone that works there is very nice. The coffee and food were excellent too! Dylan and Erin were great!

I have no idea how the food was because we couldn't get anyone to take our order.

We got up the counter and the staff never even acknowledged our presence.  We waited for 5 minutes and were unable to get the staff's attention.

We ended up going next door to Montana'a Cantina where the service was excellent.

The people and staff are the best part about this place.  It's one of the only chill coffee shop's in the valley that doesn't close at 2pm.  I love to study here during the day, its a great change of scenery.  It has free wi-fi, good food/coffee, accessible power sources and its comfortable!  Not to mention the Karaoke at night is pretty fun as well.  :)

We stopped by to try their new food menu and were amazed at how well the food was. It's a very relaxed atmosphere, where lots of locals hang out ( many with their dogs).  Very friendly people and knowledgeable about the menu. That's not too difficult because it is a very limited menu, but what they have to choose from is prepared very well. We stopped in one evening, then came back another evening and then once more for breakfast. Their "Tender Belly" bacon is out of this world. We come to Beaver Creek every summer and will make sure to make this a regular stop. You have to try the BLT!

I've been a fan of Joe's since it opened.  The coffee is the best in town, I love the addition of the roll up glass doors and larger patio, and enjoy the revolving local art that they hang on the back wall.  Their new menu is surprisingly good for such a tiny kitchen.  For breakfast their French toast with white peach and fig preserve is fantastic; interesting, sweet while managing to feel wholesome.  I ordered eggs one morning and the accompanying tender belly bacon is unreal, so, so good.  The salads are great, and I enjoyed the lamb burger with the sweet potato fries.  I'm going back today to try the chicken wings with thai peanut sauce whilst getting some work done on my computer - it's a great option especially for locals who office from home.

K, so had the wings, which were delicious, although why are they served with a side of ranch and bleu cheese?  Weird, and unnecessary.

Great local coffeeshop. Good coffee, full bar, free wifi (4 hours per day), and power plugs. Picnic tables outside, pool table inside, lots of seating, even a sofa in front of the TV.

Had to take off one star because they are BLASTING the football game over the house sound system. There are about 20 people in here and it seems that 4 are watching the game. Kind of nuts. Can hear it even when playing loud music through my large, over-ear headphones.

    But otherwise - great spot.

Looking for a fun bar in Avon? Keep looking.

Reggae night was a joke, white DJ playing bad reggae.  Wobbly shuffleboard table with busted parts was only thing to do.

Reggae night was a Thursday and we were there around 10, to be fair we came back Saturday at midnight - no improvement. Band set up but not playing to mostly empty bar.

Amazing that this town doesn't have better bars. Explains why the $4 bus to Vail was packed.

(Got 2 stars instead of 1 for good dark & stormy.)

Great little lounge with couches and a bar.  Went to trivia night (Tuesdays) and had a great time.

We stopped at Loaded Joe's after having lunch in Vail.

It was a little difficult to find, but once we had entered through the gift shop, we found it to be cosy and cute.  There was a great vibe there of young skiers having come off the slopes and looking for a hot beverage or a beer.

We had a hot chocolate, a de-caf mocca coffee and another caramel flavored hot coffee.

The service was good, the prices were very reasonable; especially for Vail, and the coffee's were delicious.

We will make this a regular haunt when we visit Vail in the future.

A lounge in what I feel should be the truest sense of the word. It's an extremely chill atmosphere, even with a mix of different things going on. It's a coffee house during the day, then transitions into a bar at night, but still keeps a little bit of the coffee house feel. People on comfy chairs on laptops drinking coffee, others playing pool or shuffleboard, and still others sitting at the bar watching the game.

They've got cheap prices and happy hour for both coffee and alcohol, and a great music mix.

The only issue I have is that their free WiFi is a hassle to connect to, only lasts 2 hours, and is on and off the whole time.

Not sure if this place is good for coffee but I do not think it is good for karaoke -- unless you are into rock and heavy metal classics. In that case, this is the place for you! Other than that, not a good place to spend a Friday night.

Cool coffeehouse/lounge(which is why I graciously gave this place 2 stars instead of one), not cool for nightlife! Came from out of town, we checked this place out for karaoke. It's definitely a local spot, a lot grungier crowd than my friends or I were comfortable with. It was packed on this Friday night, and to get on a list to sing karaoke you had to wait behind 15-18 other people , all of which sang horribly (which can be fun and funny in moderate amounts). Trying to get service was a mission and involved lots of standing and trying to politely flag someone and waiting to be noticed. After requesting to close out (we were ready to leave pretty soon after arriving) , I stood waiting until it was realized that she had forgotten about me then brought me my card. Am I just an out-of-towner elitist snob? Am I too pampered by San Diego nightlife and mediocre to impressive karaoke? You check this place out and be the judge, but you won't see me there. To give you an idea of the crowd this place draws at night, some of the types of songs sung by locals included : slow country songs, Cake, Pantera, and even some song about enjoying strippers crying............ keeping it classy Loaded Joes!

I was visiting Vail for a family wedding. Being a huge fan of coffee and cafe's, when I found this place on Yelp I was pretty pumped. I was impressed with the vibe, and the staff was friendly, but my coffee was no bueno. I think it was my fault. I ordered something off the menu and it didn't come out right. I appreciate the willingness to let me make the order so, I wont hold it against them. The breakfast sandwich was not that delicious-ness you expect in a ski town. If I was headed up the mountain, I would be disappointed, their breakfast sangwich is Busch League. Less microwave and more flavor fellas. If I'm back in Vail someday, i would visit again, but order safe.

Party of four for light lunch on a Wednesday.

Simple sandwiches and breakfasts.  Nothing out of the ordinary.   They were a bit busy when we got there and our food took a bit longer than I would have liked for counter service - maybe 10 minutes?

Tasty, prices reasonable, I'd go back in a pinch.

Discovered my toddler likes jalapeno potato chips here.

I love this place---there is something weirdly comforting about  being there Sunday mornings sitting on comfy yet worn sofas watching dudes drink shots and beers at 10am.
Great coffee, great chill music and shuffleboard!

We were in Avon for just over three days and visited Loaded Joe's 5 times?  So yeah, 5 stars for this place.

They've managed to put together the laid back vibe of a chill lounge, with a pool table, shuffleboard, comfy couches and a full bar, and added great food and absolutely outstanding coffee.  The espresso is literally some of the best I've had.

One of America's finest coffee shops!

First off - the coffee & tea is excellent - staff is terrific - there is a crowd of regulars that also gives it a strong 'CHEERS' feeling

The ambiance is EXCELLENT - perfect place to get work done, or find someone to have intelligent conversation with.... kinda what a good coffee shop is all about :)

Tuesday Taco night - Taco bells tacos are better.

Hummus - quite tasty! Love the marinated olives that came with it.

Place is really laid back (because there were only 5 people in the joint) but the cashier, coffee maker guys seem to have an attitude?

    Meh

Loaded Joe's has been a favorite spot of mine for a while now. During the day, it's a great spot to sit and read or catch up with friends over a cup of coffee. At night, the place turns into a cool lounge. They've got a pool table and shuffleboard and several comfy couches to lounge on. There is different entertainment every night of the week ranging from bingo and trivia to live music and karaoke. Definately a local's spot!

    Trivia night rocks!
Excellent coffee drinks at all hours, friendly staff, good crowd.
The only drawback is that during the day it still has that bar feel and old beer smell, so it's not really a place I would want to hang out for hours and read or relax.

Great little place, with a vibe I wouldn't have expected.

I stopped by on a late afternoon and had a sandwich and tea; the sandwich was surprisingly good. But, the vibe, was awesome. I totally dug the tunes and there was lots of great comfortable seating.

I fully plan on coming back.

This is by far my favorite place in the entire Vail valley. It's a laid back  coffee shop by day (with incredible coffee btw) and super fun bar/lounge by night.

The fact that tons of locals flock here is a testament to the quality of the drinks and friendliness of LJ's staff, but even if you're in town for a couple days or staying at Beaver Creek, it'll be worth your while to stop in for a coffee or a pint. I'm pretty much a beer guy, but Loaded Joe's cocktail selection is pretty awesome and the bar tenders know what they're doing.

Stopped by for a coffee and breakfast. The mocha was well made. The foam was almost to pretty to sip. Yum.

For breakfast, I had a veggie bagel sandwich that was fresh and flavorful and included both a veggie burger-ish patty and fresh veggies. I didn't expect the combination when I placed the order, but it was a pleasant surprise.

The atmosphere was fun too. I'll stop by in the evening next time in town.

Nice combo of bar and coffeehouse, with surprisingly good selections in both directions--kind of a unique cast of characters, but it really is a local place--the karaoke is some of the Valley's finest people watching, but trivia night is really where it's at--even the 3 hipsters in town come out to play.

A bit dark for my taste in terms of a place to study/read, but certainly fills a niche.
