We were traveling and stumbled across this place and couldn't believe our luck! The food was wonderful and service unbelievable!!! They serve free soup of the day with each meal (and free ice cream). We were served the fish chowder and  Oreo cheese cake ice cream. Great find! Highly recommended!!!
Review Source:Driving through the center of the state of Florida can be difficult on the tastebuds. One never knows where to stop for fear of losing their tongue to some bad food. I must say, that I was pleasantly surprised by this happenstance stop. On my take-out order:
Pulled pork on Texas toast
French Fries
Apple sauce
Pepsi
The meat was moist and had a good flavor to it. Â It is rare that I find sides that I will eat or care much for, but my partner seemed to enjoy them and ate them all. And it really is the meat that we are looking for when going to a BBQ joint, isn't it?
Log Cabin makes Chick-fil-A look like amatures.... This place has thee most kick-ass fried chicken sandwich I've ever had. Â Amazing! Â
Crispy, crunchy, tender, juicy... I can't think of enough adjectives to adequately describe just how awesome Log Cabin's fried chicken sandwich tastes. Â Oh, and the BBQ's good too!
I have stopped here many, many times when I come to Labelle. Â It has been a few different names but this rendition is great! Â Comp soup to start with and I had a delicious smoked chicken sandwich with baked beans and cole slaw. Â My dining partner had the pulled pork and we both loved our meals. Â Our server was nice and attentive and even offered free ice cream at the end of our meal! Â Great job, keep up the good work y'all.
Review Source:My boys and I are cynics, so when we come across people as genuinely kind and enthusiastic as the waitress we met at the Log Cabin Bar-B-Que, we look hard for the angle.
Free soup? Fixing a crossed order by just giving us a couple of additional meals to go? Something didn't feel right.
Our best guess was that if this was the start of an action / horror movie, the scene just after the free ice cream would have us waking up woozy somewhere in the Everglades with (option a) Samuel L. Jackson as our evil captor or (option b) Samuel L. Jackson rescuing us from Ashley Judd as our crazy captor. Note to self: We should also find a part for David Caruso in there somewhere.
But I digress. Delicious barbecue. Delightful waitress. When we asked if the free ice cream was home made, she even admitted it was store bought. How crazy is that?
I love this place, and the next time I'm passing through Labelle, I'll take my chances and dine here again.
2nd visit today and met Glenn the owner who was offering free fish chowder while we waited. Â We met John the son on our 1st visit and we knew he had the hospitality gene in him. Â Meeting Glenn we saw where he gets it from. Â Upon Glenn bringing our chowder I asked if he was John's dad. Â He spoke with us for 15 minutes and even invited us fishing on our next visit to Islandmorada where they have a home & boat. Â He said sorry we are out of the dolphin as I only caught one, but he have more snapper. Â My wife & I catch all of the fish served here and let me tell you it would be cheaper to buy it. Â Where will you hear that?
Not at Red Lobster or Smokey Bones! Â
Onto the food my wife had the chicken/rib combo with fry's & beans all of which was excellent. Â My smoked beef cheddar melt was great with even the cheese sauce on top had the smokey taste we love! Â My slaw & beans were excellent as was the service. Â It was Mothers Day and they were busy, but the service & food were great. Â
Having been paid for years to evaluate bars & restaurants I am telling you this is what we want & expect in the hospitality business. Â
Friendly staff, great food, unique setting of an old log cabin in the middle of nowhere.
Free soup while you wait and free ice cream for dessert, do you see that in many places?
Keep Walmart & Darden I want my independents!
I always look forward to breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Log Cabin when I have to be in Labelle for work. Â You can tell how good the food is by how it's always packed. Â In my last trip I had the Fried Fish and Shrimp for lunch one day and the Chicken Fried steak, home fries, eggs, and biscutts for breakfast the next day. Â The food is always good and they have the friendliest staff you would ever want. Â At lunch and dinner they are always there with a free sample of the soup of the day and/or a taste of ice cream for dessert.

Meh, it was ok. We might try it again and vacillated heavily between average and good. Miriam and I dined today and we had ribs, chicken, slaw, beans and finished with banana pudding. The sides were really good. Perfectly light and crisp slaw, not weighed down by mayo. I liked the beans more than Miriam, she thought they were a little sweet but I think they were not more so than average for barbecue beans. They had some green pepper and you could taste the beans as is not always the case in many BBQ establishments. I thought the rub was great at first bite, really heavy on the chili powder and this became a little too much by the 3rd rib. The smoke is really light and I think Miriam would have liked a little more. They weren't succulent, our benchmark for great ribs. They were a little dry and a little tough. We did agree that the sauces are very good. Miriam had the chicken combo plate. The chicken comes with their sweeter sauce and was average. Not really juicy or fall off the bone, not really smoked well but it was ok. Pretty good. The banana pudding is the fake banana flavored cream with nilla waffers. A proper pudding has pastry cream with bananas folded in topped with whipped cream. Everything else pales. This one is too sweet as well. They have a full menu with fish, steak and other choices. We loved the place itself and staff and would probably stop if we were through again for lunch.
Stopped by on my way to hog heaven. Very cozy place, the staff is very friendly. I did not eat any bbq since we were going to be loading up on hog, so I got the fish sandwich fried. WOW, best Ive tasted. Very flaky, soft, juicy. Beats cracker barrel fish fry IMO. Â Also had cole slaw, fries, sweet tea. All was great. Also they let us sample soup. Â Cream of broccoli I believe... wow, thank you !! Â I will be back to sample the BBQ and beans!
Review Source:We have had about 5 different meals here: breakfast, lunch & dinner - all were very good & reasonably priced with good sized proportions. Family owned restaurant. Wait staff & owners always very friendly - fast service. Â Place is very clean and cutely decorated. Â Would recommend for a good meal - fish, burgers, pulled pork, great home made soups & deserts.
