My husband and I frequent Los Domingos several times a month and it is our favorite restaurant.  We love the atmosphere, we love the food, and they have a great wait staff.  Even though we've had issues in the past the owner and manager have always been more then accommodating and resolved whatever issues we've had fast and to our satisfaction.

My husband and I have tried several other Mexican restaurants in the area, but always come back to Los Domingos.

Pretty average Mexican food. The staff is friendly and the prices are good but nothing stands out as fantastic. Drinks are good and the crowd at the bar is pretty tame. Used to go here after work with the lady's and always had a great time.

My family goes to Los Domingo's regularly  only because it is okay food that is fairly close. If you love fajitas, strawberry lemonade, and Cadillacs(margaritas) then this is the place for you. Other than those three things the rest of the food is not that great. Although the food isn't quite appetizing a couple of the servers are nice. That doesn't mean all of them are nice. On good days service is great but, sometimes you have to keep telling them in order to get it done. I refuse to eat here anymore because of the service we received on New Year's Eve. They could not take us because they were to close at eight. We arrived around six fifty. The man cleaning up the bar told us we had to leave although they had taken the customers before us. I may be stubborn but that is just unacceptable to me.

They have a great bar. For as small as it is, they have some decent craft beers on tap. They also have a great selection of Tequila at a great price. I enjoy coming here to have a drink in the middle of the day. My last trip here was on Friday night and the bar area was crowded with regulars. It's the most packed I've seen it.
The chips and salsa are phenomenal. Well the salsa is. The chips are okay. The refries are creamy deliciousness. My last visit here I was kind of unimpressed with the rest of my order though. I got a burrito and an enchilada Beef and chicken. There were HUGE chunks of beef and chicken but they weren't that well seasoned. It was very bland. The sauce and cheese were tasty but the meat was just lacking in any kind of solid flavor.
I will go back and try again, but mostly because any place that has chips and salsa that good, has to have a good sense of how to cook something. I just have to find out what that is.

A friend and I stopped in here for some take out. We were greeted and everything and only had to wait a minute for the hostess to come take our order. While we waited for the food we went to the bar for a couple beers. The bar was pretty busy, and I got the impression a lot of the people were regulars/locals. They also had a decent little selection of beers on tap.

As we sat in the bar, the waiter brought us some chips and salsa to hold us over until our food was ready. The chips were fine, but the salsa was AMAZING. I made sure to take home a little cup of it. It's got a nice heat and a slightly sweet (fresh tomato sweet, not added sugar sweet) flavor.

I ordered carnitas tacos and chicken tortilla soup; my buddy got enchiladas and the same soup. The tacos were just okay; no complaints but the meat wasn't as flavorful as I've had in some places. My friend had about the same to say for the enchiladas. The chicken tortilla soup was great. Different from other places I've had; more vegetables and a lighter taste. It also had lots of big, tender chunks of white meat chicken in it.

I would definitely give this place another try. They list their specialty as mariscos, so I felt bad not trying the seafood.

The foods not bad, nothing special either....Just an average mexican restaurant. Service is good. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for something simple, or to go by themselves. Prices could be cheaper.

My sister lives in apple valley and whenever I go visit her she takes me there. Not that I mind at all because the food is great . My favorite dish is the shrimp and chicken mexicana. It's spicy and the chicken is moist, you have to try it.  I ordered a Cadillac margarita and it was one of the best margaritas I have had. Trust me I know my margaritas. My server Claude was very nice and speedy cuz we had were in a hurry to catch a movie.

So I went for a second visit on the 4th of July. 1:00 pm and the place was empty, except for a party of three that walked in just before our party of 6.
Sad to say, my first experience was so much better than the second. The waiter took our drink order and it was brought out quickly. But when he was ready to take our order after he put our drinks down it was a bit too soon for us. He twisted his eyes, his arms flopped down and he turned away in a huff. A while later the waitress came back and took our order. When I picked up my silverware wrapped in a napkin, the underside had dried salsa on it. A bit of a turn off because I am guessing it had been sitting there when the last guests at that table didn't use it. I let it slide until one of my sons picked up his roll when his meal was complete (he had nachos) and found the same thing on his napkin which was on the other end of a large table.
When the waiter brought the food out, it was just kind of dumped there. The rice was cold and the end of some of the rice was hard. The chicken taco that was so good last time, but it seemed like there wasn't much effort put into it this time. The chicken seemed to be a chopped chicken (the same that was in the enchilada) and not a marinated chicken that was used last time. The taco shell on the taco was chewy and greasy and not fresh and hot like last time.
The service by the WAITER was less than acceptable and the food was not what it was that brought me back for a second visit. Maybe because it was a holiday and they scaled back to save costs? IDK but I am willing to give it one more try.

Used to be a good place to eat until they changed owners and cooks. The food does not taste as good as it use to be. Viva Maria on HWY 18 near CVS is better. Their burritos were much better than los domigos.....los domigos burrito was very puny, like the size of the  El Monterey burritos you get frozen at a store.

Good salsa, light crispy chips, damn good carne asada plate even tho it wasn't what I ordered. Too steep for the cadillacs but the food was worth the price. Friendly manager and slow servers. One star away from Cantina perfection.

Good food, fair prices ... One of the best Mexican food places in town. I've liked everything I've tried, and the Sunday Champaign Brunch sounds great. Unfortunately, the wait staff is always drenched in cologne, so everything tastes a bit like your waiter's perfume.

What can we say about our local Mexican Restaurant?  We LOVE it!  Okay, so there are lots of Mexican Restaurants in the world, true.  What we love about this place is that it is like an extension of our home.  The atmosphere feels more like our dining room and the service is superb.  Just ask for Joe our server on most days.  He has a great attitude, as well as excellent customer service - just like each and everyone of the servers on staff.

Now the food is tasty and the location is clean and tidy.  Lots of chips, Carne Asada, pescado, and a variety of margaritas from the bar.  Pricing is affordable and you never go home hungry.  So next time you stop by, please let us know what you think :)

Los Domingos has came a long ways now that the local hoe (Elva) doesn't show up anymore.     Great place

As stated before, the food here is just decent Mexican food; not bad and not spectacular either. I mean if you really think about it, making bad Mexican food is almost as much of an accomplishment as making great Mexican. It's just not hard to make decent Mexican.

My wife and I went to this place the other night because we had a coupon which made the price alright. Full price would have been ridiculous. I've been trying to cut down on my portion sizes so I appreciated that the burrito I got wasn't super huge, just enough to fill me up, but the combo plate cost twice what I would normally pay for double the food at another restaurant.

The service is where they shined for us. The waitstaff worked together as a team. A feature you don't really see too often, Although we had our main server who took care of us very well, the other people on staff had no problem noticing that we needed refills on drinks or chips. We also appreciated that the bar area was separated from the dining area but they still had a TV for us to watch the Dodger game.

I don't know that I'll make an effort to go back to this place unless I happen to come across another coupon, but overall it was a pleasant experience.

My parents frequent Los Domingos and every once in a while I tag along. The food is average all the way around. Nothing is spectacular but nothing is bad either.

The thing that really gets me about this place is the fact that even though my parents are regulars they cannot get happy hour prices on drinks unless they sit at the bar. Seriously?!? They always order full meals so it's a bit of a hassel to sit at the bar. Give me a break. That's no way to treat regulars.
