Lost River General Store and Cafe

We went to Mathias West Virginia for a bicycle race. While my husband was racing I decided to do a little local investigating. Lucky for us that I found Lost River General Store and Cafe just down the road in Lost River. The owners also own The Inn at Lost River.  The General store is wonderful treasure trove of beautiful handicrafts, books, jewelry, furniture,  wine and condiments.  The cafe has delicious homemade food and ice-cream. We enjoyed a yummy panini and chicken salad.  When we mentioned  that my husband had come in third place, in his category during the bike race, the owners  kindly gave us free ice-cream! I would highly recommend this cafe/store for a visit if you are  touring the state parks or just if you are driving through.
