Loves Texas Style Bbq & Steakhouse

I've traveled all over the place and I KNOW you don't eat brisket anywhere outside of Texas.  Well, even in Texas, this place has hands down BEST BRISKET EVER!!!!!  Everytime I pass through Chillicothe, I make sure to stop by and grab a bite.  I've eaten at some big name bbq places in big Texas cities like Houston, but NO ONE can beat Loves' brisket!  It just melts in your mouth. This is THE only meat our vegetable loving daughter would devour!

You know you are in a real, down home place when one of the proprietors is sitting there at one of the back tables with a fly-swatter in her hand - LOL

I stopped by here on the way through town  The DQ next door in this small town was half full, and there was only 1 couple in Loves.  I was a little concerned when I saw that, but BBQ sounded so much better than another standard burger.

The couple that runs the place was very friendly.  The decor is pretty basic.  And the food was fantastic.

Well, all I got was the pulled pork place with pinto's, corn on the cob, and texas toast.  I've had pulled pork at a number of places, and this is some of the best I have ever had and at $8, one of the best values.  The couple that runs the place was very friendly.  And the bottle 4 kinds of their own pepper sauce, very tasty.

Sure, I had a swat a few flies away while I was eating.  But it's Texas in the summer time, they are everywhere.
