So my husband and I live in the Tampa area but have a house in the mountains near Marion and we have passed this place more times than I can count - even when it was a different place! Â Finally, we went for dinner last night and boy we should not have waited so long! Â The fried green tomatoes were light and the breading stayed on as it should. Â My husband and his brother had shrimp and grits and declared them to be outstanding. Â My sister in law had the pork and said it was delicious. Â I had the surf and turf salad and the steak was mouth watering although the shrimp were kind of small. Â Sandy, waitress and part owner, was delightful and their wine list, while short, is good. Â You can be sure we will be coming a lot more often and will bring visitors whenever they can join us. Â Thanks for a great meal!
Review Source:Great atmosphere, the staff was super accommodating and friendly. Â The food was outstanding. Â I had the steak (petite) which was HUGE, the flavor was unbelievable and for sides I had the mac & cheese and tomato salad, both were delicious. Â I do not like raw onions, but this tomato salad was seasoned perfectly so that you did not realize you were eating onions. Â My spouse had the pulled pork (Carolina style) it was very tender & juicy good portion size. We had to try the homemade deserts due to the reviews from others; Of course we had the banana pudding on pecan pie drizzled with chocolate syrup and ice cream in the middle... OMG!!!! Â If you don't do anything else but have this desert you will die happy!! Â Loved it and will come back on our next mountain trip.
Review Source:Brisket was outstanding. Â Salmon tasty. Â Must try the homemade pecan pie topped with the banana pudding. Â With whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Â This is actually combining two deserts into one. Â Great combination.
Service was great. Â People very friendly. Â If you are in the area you must stop in.
