This long time local eatery is now under new ownership as of summer 2012 and vastly improved. The facility is clean, much larger than it appears from the outside, and has ample off street parking. The menu consists of a wide variety of Italian / American fare and beverages. No alcohol is served, but I believe they allow BYOB. Orders are placed at the counter and delivered to your table. I found the pricing to be quite reasonable and experienced a quick order turn around time.
My cheese-steak grinder was excellent, served hot, and very tasty. Same can be said for my side order of broccoli cheese balls. I'm a messy eater and was pleased to have a fully stocked napkin dispenser at the table. This restaurant doesn't skimp on napkins. I was, however, a little disappointed that they didn't offer utensils. Even a cheap plastic fork would've helped to clean up the tasty morsels that escaped my roll. Instead, I had to resort to using my fingers. To be fair, I didn't ask for a fork, but I shouldn't have had to. Lack of napkins and utensils is just something that I'm fussy about.
The overall dining experience was pleasant, and I had nice chat with the owner. The Loysville Country Restaurant is definitely now on my list of regularly visited eateries.
