First, know that the map location is wrong. The restaurant is located on Cypress Street, just north of E Broadway St.

Stopped here for lunch while in the area. The food is good, but pricey. I ordered a sliced meat sandwich and it was $6.48. That didn't include any sides or a drink. Sandwich was very tasty, though. It appears they have a wide variety to choose from. If you just want water to drink, you serve yourself from an Ozarka bottle, which is nice. Nice atmosphere, cute decorations. My coworker ordered a chicken sandwich and it came with onion rings on it...looked delicious!

I must say I was surprised to find a place like this in a very small town. Worth the stop, if you happen to be in the area around lunchtime.

Skip the food, but don't forget the Shiner or the Off! mosquito repellent.  It's not quite Gruene Hall yet, but it is a great little location to see some local and/or national acts.

My husband and I caught Junior Brown here by chance, and had a great night - even though my husband wouldn't dare hit the dance floor (he's from California, go figure).

If you're within an hour or two drive from Roscoe, or willing to book a room in Sweetwater or Abilene (because there are NO hotels in Roscoe!), give this place a visit. You'll be two-steppin' your way across the corn-meal-dusted-concrete-slabbed-dance floor in a New York minute!

The Lumberyard may be the only descent place to eat in Roscoe, TX. For those of you that have not, and probably will never, travel to Roscoe, it is a small blip on th map in the middle of Texas.

We happened here by accident since the place down the street we were trying to go to was closed for renovations. I was very pleasantly surprised when I walked in and saw the pleasant and hip atmosphere this restaurant delivers. I ordered a burger and some loaded up chili cheese fries... both were delicious.

BOTTOM LINE: All in all, this place is a rare gem in the tiny nothing town of Roscoe.

The map has the location incorrect. Located at the corner of Cypress and Broadway. It has a down home "Frontier" Texas atmosphere. Not many places to chose from in Roscoe, but this ones a winner.

Good food and good people. I visited The Lumber Yard while working in the area several times, and enjoyed everything I ate there.

Frito Pie, burgers, dogs, and sandwiches!
This place is hot night spot, hosting live music.
It is a wi-fi hotspot as well.
I am glad, as many are, that Roscoe has such a hip new bar/restaurant/live music venue.

The food is pretty straight forward and the drinks are pretty cheap. The decor is festive and witty.
