  I was at the farmers market in Des Moines where I was able to snag a lemon cupcake. I really wanted a peanut butter cupcake but they were all sold out by the time I got there. Hopefully next time I can get one!
  
  The lemon cupcake was good. The cake itself was moist. The cupcake was filled with a white cream (that did not taste like lemon). I would have preferred a lemon filling since it was a lemon cupcake, or to have no filling at all since there was plenty of frosting on the top of the cupcake. The frosting on the cupcake did taste of lemon which was nice.
  
  Overall a good cupcake. Cost was $2.50 per cupcake. They also sold cookies and other baked goods.

  Stop in to this place every time I'm in the area for a photo shoot. Love the cupcakes, not too fond of the ice cream but I'm not there for the ice cream.

  Being the person to add this place to Yelp gives me great pleasure.  I have to admit, I'm a little biased being the owner's brother, but must say I love it.  I love everything about it.  From the sign above the sidewalk to the original wood floors inside.  They serve great desserts.  Cookies, cup cakes (you have to try the margarita cup cake), cake, and a few other items I can't think of off hand.  
  
  Where they really shine are the orders.  Graduation, wedding, birthday, you name it, they can cater to your needs.  
  
  They also do a lunch.  Pretty simple, good sandwiches with sides at a great price.  The owners are very passionate about this place and are there most of the time.  
  
  If you're in the area and get a hankering for a sweet treat, go to The Madison County Dessert Factory and get your fix!
