Main Attraction

I stumbled into Main Attraction pretty much by accident. I was passing through Brandon and stopped to shoot the library, a wonderful old building that is on the National Registry of Historic Places. I noticed there was a sandwich board out front of Main Attraction that was hawking freshly baked cupcakes.

It happened to be my birthday and I figured a cupcake was probably in order, so I went in.

The café appeared to be relatively new, filling a space vacated by another café, with a special bakery. The building is old and the café has a charming appearance, including a wonderful tin ceiling and a mural of Brandon's Main Street.

As soon as I heard they had red velvet cupcakes with Mascarpone frosting, well, the decision was made for me! The frosting defies description, it is thick, soft, gooey and tasty. The cupcake itself was moist, and chewy, just an overall delight.

Somehow, I will find a way back to Brandon for more of this delightful bakery!
