We came here for breakfast on Sunday morning and absolutely loved it.
All the staff we encountered was super friendly, accommodating and efficient. The food was fresh, tasty and not too greasy (we had a Robert's omelet and Texas (French) toast). The portions were large and the prices were very reasonable; overall excellent price-quality. The decor was clean, nice and spacious. We had a great experience and would totally recommend this place to anyone in the area!
I'm surprised by lousy reviews for this place because I've been several times and have always considered the service and the food to be quite good.
I have been watching far too much Andy Griffith Show reruns and Aunt Bea is always clucking about her fried chicken. I recently had a taste for fried chicken and happened to be in the neighborhood and stopped in. What I wanted was a couple of pieces of chicken, what I got was the entire hen house, or so it seemed. What a huge great plate of fried chicken!
It happens that Main Street Bar & Grill fries their chicken in a tempura batter and, while somewhat different, it sure is good. I can definitely put away some food but I could only finish about half this plate - the rest came home with me and was dinner.
Every time I've been here the servers have been not only courteous and prompt, but they seem to work as a team. Just because your server is one person doesn't mean that another might notice you low on your drink and offer a refill - it seems the whole staff is ready to make sure the customer is happy.
As I said, I don't understand the bad reviews for this place - I've always had good food and service at a fair price. Maybe it's worth going in yourself to make your own determination. Maybe you'll just find me back there eating half of another order of fried chicken, or brisket or all sorts of other great things.
Have never been so insulted in my life...
I took my family for brunch Sunday and after dealing with a impatient server
Had a horrible meal. Not only me but my girlfriend, room mate and mother had disaster on plates. Hash browns were slimy and cold, holendaise was bland and tasted like it was from a package. But the best part was when I brought this up to the owner Sam all he said was if you don't like it eat somewhere else. I can't believe the nerve...
