Main Street Cafe

If you go there on a good day they may have some good food. But that's just a maybe.  The service is lacking. In many areas.

My family and I stopped in Main Street Cafe for lunch one weekday over the summer.  First thing I noticed is that they were completely understaffed and weren't using the staff they had to the full potential, a common mistake in many Mom and Pop spots like this.  The only problem was the inexperience turned this after rush lunch stop into a hour and a half ordeal, much longer than I'd planned for a nearby bite to eat.  The food however was quite good.  The burgers were well seasoned and cooked nicely.  

Overall if they would hire on another waiter and someone to effectely manage the front, cut down that massive Meat and Three menu, and rearrange their tables so you can walk around, many of their problems will be solved.

You're in Eagleville?  How on earth did you end up in Eagleville?  Where's Eagleville?  Well, I took some people to Arrington Vineyards, and that place is just as much a nowhere, so when I asked the people there for a place to grab a bite, they recommended Eagleville.  Not any restaurant, just Eagleville.

So I get to Eagleville, and I find Main Street Cafe.  The place is just at the main intersection of the town.  I went in, and the place was just empty.  I order a meat and two, chicken-fried steak, french fries, and green beans.  The chicken fried steak was OK, and the green beans are those nasty meat and three style that have been sitting in a hot plate for hours.  And instead of fries, they bring fried okra.  Now, I understand its a southern delicacy(?), but I hate okra.  So I immediately noticed and said those aren't french fries.  So the waitress goes to the back and brings out a plate of like 9 fries: no kidding.  She doesn't take the plate back, she just leaves the fried okra there for me to smell and cringe at.

They have wifi, and like I said, the chicken fried steak was decent.  The roll they gave was just inedible.  I think it was made of sofa foam.  I don't recommend going there, but IF YOU JUST HAPPEN TO BE IN EAGLEVILLE, and you've got to stay in town for some reason, this might be a place to get a cheap bite.
