Majestic

We had dinner here last night of grilled shrimp and prime rib. REALLY good. Very good service and most pleasant setting in this old theatre. Pretty grand setting for the Midwest area. Thanks folks. We'll done. Will surely return.

Excellent food and service. The theater is lovely and many of the original features are beautifully maintained.

"Girls Day" began with lunch at Majestic and a little shopping trip in downtown Scott City.  Two of us had the Friday lunch special of a French Dip and a side for $5.95 (originally $6.95).  The beef was very good, but the fries weren't as crispy as they could have been.  The youngest member of our group had the grilled cheese sandwich with fries and was pleased with her selection.  The fourth member of our group ordered the grilled chicken salad.  She said the chicken was good, but the only other thing in her "salad" was lettuce.

Our server was not having a good day and she came off as unfriendly.  We found out later that she was the only person working the dining room during that shift.  That is understandably frustrating, but the guests should never know that.  

This old theater is beautiful and full of character.  Overall we had a good experience and look forward to another visit.

Suggestion:  Add evening/weekend events like dinner theater or wine pairing dinners.
