Mamasitas Restaurante

Mamasitas has the best chips ever!  Mahi Mahi tacos with 'cusabi' sauce are the bomb...They give you a basket of fresh flour tortilla chips but you can ask for corn tortilla chips if you prefer. The owner is always ensuring the food is perfect for you and the staff is super friendly. Worth the extra few minutes to drive to this family-owned restaurant...a place where the owner is always going to ask you how you are doing and how the food is tasting!

I read other reviews and if you receive chips that are too 'done' for you ask for less dark chips. The flour chips ROCK! Try a little of the pico de gallo...made fresh daily and it is only one of the two places in Nebraska that I still order it.
La Paz and Mamasita's both make it excellent.
Of course you should wash it down with a 'blue margarita;)"

1st time at Mamasitas, and if I'm in the area - I will definitely return! Its a quaint, family-owned restaurant in Bennett just minutes outside of Lincoln. The staff is very friendly, and the fish tacos that my girlfriend and I ordered were delicious! The salsa was great. The chips not so much. The margaritas were surprisingly weak & small, but the fried ice cream and kahlua after the meal more than made up for it!

I go here every once in a while when visiting my sister in Bennet.  It used to be really good, but maybe my tastebuds have changed since then.  It's average Mexican food in a little family owned restaurant.  The decor is kitschy and bright.  They have the best chips, though!  Freshly made from flour tortillas.  Yummm...

I guess in a nutshell, I eat here sometimes but I'm never really craving it.
