if you are in flo-town, you have to check out mano's. Â norma knows how to cook a good freakin' burger!! Â i know, your thinking, this is a mexican food joint, and their mexican food is good as well, but their burgers are DELISH! Â we eat there usually at least once a week. Â now.....if they only served alcohol...
Review Source:Had a delicious dinner at Mano's Mexican Food. Â We took a chance and drove down to Florence TX for some small-town cuisine and we found what we were looking for: Mano's Mexican Food.
Right off of Hwy 195, Mano's has been in business since 1997 and I could clearly see why. Â Mano's offers good food and a great price combined with great service...no take that back, Superior Service! Â They take your order at the table and you pay at the counter. Â It's a smaller restaurant and from behind the counter the owner's checking the pulse of the dinner rush. Â For example, my buddy's order came out a few minutes before mine. Â I didn't have to do anything. Â Within in 3 minutes I saw him quizzing our server about my order's status and next thing it's being brought out fresh and hot.
I had the green chili chicken enchiladas, fresh, hot, but very very mild seasoning. Â My buddy had the beef fajitas. He told me they were tender, hot, and seasoned hot. Â Delicious. Â The drinks, warmed chips, and homemade salsa never run out. Â Was also surprised to see the number and size of Mano's carry out business. Â Clearly there's a lot of locals taking advantage of Mano's cuisine.
Now I'm not going to tell you it was it the "best" Mexican/Tex-Mex I've ever had. Â For example, If I could make a suggestion: get a little "hot" in the hot salsa. Â Out of a choice of hot, medium, and mild their "hot" was the mildest salsa I've ever had to my taste. Â I even asked our server, who assured us we did in fact have the hot version. Â You also can't buy a cold cerveza with your order. Â ...but for all that, when you eat at Mano's be prepared to enjoy good food at a great price with super service. Â I'll be back.
