I was concerned when I drove into the parking lot, as there didn't seem to be any customers. Â Of course, it wasn't any better when I walked into the building and saw it empty, except for employees, and someone looked at me and laughed.
I chose to go here (rather than Pizza Place, Pizza Parlour, or Geno's) because I knew that they had a 9 inch pizza, something that wouldn't have leftovers since I have been in a motel and was leaving in the morning.
After the initial laugh, the staff was friendly. Â I could barely understand the young lady at the register, she seemed sedated, as if she'd just come from the hospital but the others were quite the opposite.
I ordered a 9 inch combo pizza and sweet tea. Â After getting the tea and sitting down, I noticed an odd flavor in the tea, as if it had soap in it. Â I was eventually told that it was the typical taste for Lipton tea, but I used to buy gallons of their tea and never had a taste quite like that.
The pizza arrived probably within 15-20 minutes. Â It had a severely thin crust, like the original Pizza Hut crust, and it seemed to be made on a machine, despite their fresh daily signs, as it had the equivalent of a moulding line where the two pieces came together on the edge.
The ingredients were good and the taste was good. Â It didn't have a huge price, $10.66, I believe--it was about $1.00 more than what I pay at my favorite place in Ohio but Mazzio's have additional black olives in their combo.
I bet their lunch buffet is worth it, to add some variety.
The place didn't seem as though it was particularly clean and a lot of things seemed worn, as if no one cared. Â I just hope the equipment in the back is in better condition.
