The view is breathtaking. Â My husband I rode the motorcycle up the mountain for dinner tonight. Â It was a crystal clear early evening and the smokey mountains were clearly visible.
We both had the ribeye.  It was very tender and tasty.  The rolls seemed to be homemade yeast rolls.  Yummy.  I also had the side salad with blue cheese crumbles and raspberry vinegarette dressing.  I had the loaded baked potato.  Potato came out naked and all of the condiments were in covered plastic individual serving cup.  --  my preference would have been for them to be ready to eat. (Not a big deal, but its a little detail)
They serve beer, but can not serve wine.  You may, however, bring your own.  We passed on dessert, although it looked delicious.  There is an outside seating area, but we have never been there when food is being served on the patio.  Not sure if that is for parties or what.
We have been several times.  This was the best yet!!  Little details make all the difference between a restaurant and a high end restaurant.  Dimming the lights.  Slowing down the dinner---  after all, the view will keep the patrons happy.  Serving the salad on a plate instead of a small bowl.  (Salad was very nice though)
Prices are very reasonable.  you can have a burger for around $10 bucks or have a nice steak upwards from $18.  All in all, I love McClouds.  Nice change of pace from the other places in town.
