The Meadows Restaurant

Favorite lunch time diner is now under new management. Was closed for repainting, but the decor is identical, and the chairs are still patched together with tape.

Old management had dramatically increased the prices, and we stopped going as regularly because of it. Prices are still high. I had the Jethro burger (essentially a 1/2 lb burger) without toppings with a side of fries, and came to $8.50 before tax and tip. I won't be going back for brunch, with listed prices for breakfasts averaging $9 or $10 per person. Also, for whatever reason, there's a sharing charge and if you need to take home leftovers, they charge for the box.

My companion had the soup with ham, and we had to request a hamburger roll because they didn't have any dinner rolls. Coffee was fine.

Waitresses there are generally friendly and attentive, but place is a bit dark, and the walls are cluttered with signs and posters.

Still an adequate option for lunch in a town without many options.
