Great pizza, AWESOME beer selection!!!! Â This particular mellow mushroom has a pretty weird interior. Â There are like transformers statues all over the place, I didn't really get it but it didn't take away from the great pizza. Â If I am staying at a hotel nearby again I will certainly stop in again.

Atmosphere - 5 stars
Food - 5 stars
Service - 5 stars
Background - Love me some pizza.
Atmosphere - The place is large and spacious which allows for the volume to increase easily. Â Even with that it was easy to talk to the table next to us, they were very friendly. Â I love the sculptures in the place; my favorite was the Trans-Former at the hostess stand.
Food
Appetizer - Parmesan pretzels.  The red dipping sauce for them was a nice surprise.  My daughter had been here before and recommended.  She ate too much and not much of her pizza later. Â
Main Course - 14 inch pepperoni pizza, a classic.  It was similar to a New York style pizza.  The dough was a little thicker but you can watch the guys toss the pizza as it is an open kitchen.  They cut this "medium" pizza into only 6 slices which gives you a large slice to fold.  I loved their pizza.  Plenty of pepperoni, just the right about of sauce and the cheese stayed where it was suppose on top.
Dessert - stuffed and still had left over pizza.
Service - Lindy was a great waitress!
Future - I would love to come back but I have a lot of other pizza places to try in the Savannah area. Â But this is on the top to try again.
We had the Red Skin Potato Pie Pizza. Â It was very good. Â The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was due to how long we had to wait for it to arrive at the table. Â The good thing is you can see into the kitchen, so I'm sure they are making the pizza fresh there. Â I'm sure that fact adds to the wait time. Â The decor is very creative and interesting. Â They also gave us a to go cup of what we were drinking.
Review Source:My wife and I were making a 12 hour drive from Alexandria, VA down to Florida with our 2 year old in toe. Â When we finished day at Savannah, the hotel recommended Mellow Mushroom as a place good for kids. The restaurant is very convenient to the interstate (as was our hotel), so it only took a few minutes to get to.
When we entered, the restaurant just screamed FUN! Â What else could it be with a Spiderman on the ceiling. Our kid almost went into overload with all of the stuff he could look at. Â The staff, hosts and wait staff, were incredibly nice and perfectly willing to work with a kid who had been cooped up in a car all day and just wanted to let loose.
The drink menu was perfect for Mommy and Daddy who had been cooped up in a car with a 2 year old all day. Â Most of their specialty drinks involve basil. Â One might think that it wouldn't work, but the drinks we had were delicious, refreshing, and just plain different. Â The pizza was delicious. Â We had the 'mighty meaty', which was just the right over-the-top balance of meats to keep one going after a long journey.
I just discovered that there is a branch in Washington, DC. Â I think I need to try it.
I have been waiting and waiting to go to the  Pooler Mellow Mushroom, ever since I heard it was coming. Needless to say, Myself and my Best friend went today and ended up very disappointed and will not return. I will go to Savannah or Preferably Statesboros  ,if I want Mellow Mushroom again. I was under the impression , that they are known for being a family restaurant. The only thing family is the decorum(spiderman, action figures ) The food was good, a little wait but no big dealbut the staff is unbelievable, I do not know where and who did the hiring but they are so unprofessional, staff who is actually fixing the food, have no nets over their hair, hair just hanging loose, quite a few had caps on their head turned backward yet , their hair is still free, one wiping his nose on his sleeve, (very appealing ).dancing and swaying over the food. One waitress had actually taken the collar off her mellow mushroom shirt so she could wear the shirt down on her shoulder showing off her bra, then dancing out to a table carrying the pizza. This is a Family Restaurant! Not a club, If I wanted to be entertained, I would have gone to a bar or strip club. Male Management saw we were not happy ,yet did not approach us at all, Most Good managers usually will walk around and check with their customers to see if everything was alright , I would think with just opening last week, that it would have been very important to do this .Don't know who hired him either but they sure need to send him back along with the other staff for more training in proper work ethics. There were only 3 staff who was presentable(dressed neatly, clean and hair combed) . This was totally shocking to us , since we have always loved the Statesboro MellowMushroom, Staff there were college kids  and they were always dressed appropriately ,service great and attentive ..If ya'll are going to stay in business you certain have alot of changing to do. If someone asked me , I would not recommend.
Review Source:Opening night was a complete mad house for sure but the staff kept their stride with our group of almost 20 people. Having been a part of the waiting industry if my first night was with our group I would've rolled in the tip money and cried at the ridiculousness...hopefully that worked out for the group of servers who helped us. ;D
This MM has a movie theme with more of a super hero lean with Iron Man, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and a Transformer in the doorway so it's not your usual hippy vibe but it worked well and I think they are playing up for the nearby theaters.
The food all had the usual MM deliciousness and it was fun watching the dough get tossed in the kitchen area. Everything was delicious across the board and I think we're all pretty hard core MM fans so if something was amiss we'd probably notice.
A few comments...the auto faucets in the bathroom don't work...I mean...kinda...but you end up waving your hands around like you have a fly you're swatting at and when they finally turn on you hope for the best. Also, the staff was really protective of the tables...personally..I'd spend a little more money on sturdy table tops which can handle pizza tray heat and less  money on the foam core mounted movie stuff decorating around the kitchen area. But, I don't own a restaurant..
Otherwise it was a great time with great food. :)
